This is a welcome and scholar-friendly decision. Academicians may suggest if same is needed by @ugc_india @weareAUD @eduminofindia and other universities should consider to declare like this: Gender Studies as equivalent to Pol Sc/Social Work; Development Studies as equivalent to Eco; Ambedkar Studies as equivalent to Pol Sc. May be more similar subjects… But who has time to think all this?
