FYI, with his 10th game on Thursday, Eklund's first year of the ELC is burned. His ELC, which he signed July 14, 2025, slid last season but doesn't slide again. #Isles are completely okay with that.

Just got on my flight to Winnipeg. There was an ~5 year old boy crying in a Hellebuyck jersey. Talked to his father and he said little Billy saved up his allowance for that jersey and thought by going to Winnipeg he could convince his favorite player to stay. Billy then turned to me and said… “M Bon why do these Americans hate Canada so much, first the tariff war that massively impacts both economies and now the Olympic players” Gutting stuff.
