Our economy needs a skilled workforce, and Texas public school CTE programs prepare students for high-demand careers. That's why we're proud to sponsor the @TexasTribune’s The Future of Texas’ Workforce.
Held this Wednesday, August 12, at the Texas State Technical College Aerospace Center in Waco, this symposium will bring together education leaders, employers, industry partners, and civic stakeholders to discuss how Texas is building the programs needed for the economy ahead.

"A government is invigorated when each one of us is willing to participate in shaping the future of this nation."
Public schools are the center of our democracy and the heart of our communities. To protect the future of the 5.5 million students in Texas, we must be active participants in our government.
There is no more effective way to support our schools than by voting for candidates who prioritize public education. Let each of us do our part to shape a common future.
Vote for Texas public schools.

#DallasCounty, candidates are listening this week. 🗳️Tell your primary election candidates our students are more than a single test score. It’s time for a better way to measure our schools.Send your message in less than 1 minute!

Today is the start of early voting for the 2026 Texas primaries. Tell your candidates our Texas public schools should be measured by more than a single test on a single day.
Last year the Texas legislature passed House Bill 8 to make changes and add extra tests to the state’s school accountability system.
However, 80% of Texas schools still have their A-F ratings determined by a single high-stakes exam. This doesn't reflect the full range of skills our students need to succeed. A strong accountability system should look at multiple measures of student learning and growth - not just one test on one day.
Tell 2026 candidates it’s time to measure what matters: go.ryht.org/morethantests

Texas has an opportunity to transform how it funds public education by establishing a new education endowment, a practical first step that would give legislators the framework needed to create an endowment, moving Texas beyond the short-term nature of our two-year budget cycles and establishing a lasting investment in students.
Raise Your Hand Texas proposes creating a new Legacy Education Fund, an endowment that will move Texas beyond our two-year budget cycles and establish a lasting investment in our children.
