From the Radiantz archive: a motorcycle can carry a lot of lighting without looking cluttered when placement follows the machine. Old build, current design lesson.
An old Radiantz motorcycle build, and still a useful test: look at the bike with the LEDs off. If the installation looks clean before power, you're starting from the right place.
From the Radiantz archive: motorcycle lighting has changed, but one design rule hasn't—make the lighting work with the motorcycle instead of making the motorcycle work around the lighting.
From the Radiantz archive: good motorcycle lighting should work with the body lines even when it is switched off. The install matters as much as the LEDs.
Radiantz archive build: the motorcycle should still be the first thing you see. Lighting works best when it complements the lines of the bike instead of becoming a pile of visible hardware.
A flexible motorcycle LED install starts with the surface, not the wire. Clean, dry and test-fit the full path before adhesive commits you to a bad route. #Radiantz #MotorcycleLighting
A useful installation rule: if you have to fight the product to make it fit, stop. On flexible LED boards, force is often telling you the path and the designed bend direction do not agree.
Before adhesive touches the bike, hold the light in place and ask two questions: does the board bend naturally along this path, and can the wiring leave the strip without being pinched? Those two checks can prevent a lot of rework.
A motorcycle LED install can fail before the wiring ever starts. If the mounting path asks a flexible board to bend in the wrong direction, change the path instead of forcing the product. #Radiantz #MotorcycleLighting
If a flexible LED strip cracks during installation, the question isn't only ‘was it bent too far?’ It may have been bent in the wrong direction. Direction matters before radius does.
Plate lighting is a packaging problem too: illuminate what needs to be visible without adding another bulky housing. Radiantz chrome motorcycle LED plate frames are current inventory.
The cleanest wiring route is not always the shortest route. On a motorcycle, avoid movement, heat and pinch points first; hide the wire second.
A curved motorcycle part changes more than the LED path. It changes wire routing, viewing angle, adhesive contact and service access. Fitment is the system, not one measurement.
Before final mounting, look at the motorcycle from behind, beside it, and from rider height. Good lighting placement should work from more than one viewing angle. #Radiantz #MotorcycleLighting
