Part 2 of this morning's question:
Your brain's favorite morning lie is usually some version of "you can't."
Can't change. Can't start. Can't handle today. Mine is too.
Here's the Self-Brain Surgery move I use.
I don't argue with the lie. I interrupt it.
Out loud, before my feet hit the floor, I say: "That thought is not me. It's my brain, and I choose a different one."
Then I give my mind one true sentence to hand my brain: "I can do the next right thing."
Why it works: your amygdala loves certainty, even ugly certainty.
A vague hope won't beat it. A short, spoken command will. Your mind decides. Your brain follows.
"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
2 Corinthians 10:5
Operate on it tomorrow morning.
One interruption. One true sentence.
Then go do the thing.
Which sentence are you swapping in?
My Fatherʼs will is everyone who looks to the Son & believes in Him shall have eternal life, & I will raise them up at the last day.

It enrages them because it says in no uncertain terms — we refuse to pretend. We will not bow to your ideology. We will not pretend men can become women.
That’s it.

The DOJ has entered the chat.
BREAKING: The US Department of Justice is reviewing the forceful ejection of fans wearing XX-XY t-shirts at Friday's Portland Thorns game.
"The Justice Department is aware of these reports and will review the matter thoroughly. Where the facts and the law warrant action, the Department will not hesitate to act."
A DOJ spokesperson also told me, "Based on what is known so far, the conduct described appears to raise viewpoint discrimination and First Amendment questions rather than sex discrimination. The Department is reviewing it."

When your mind keeps spinning worst-case stories, your amygdala takes the wheel.
That's the alarm system. It is great at sounding the siren and terrible at solving the problem. Your frontal lobes, the part that plans and chooses, get quieter every time you rehearse the spiral.
Ask one question out loud: "What if it works out?" Then name one true thing and one thing you're grateful for. That's Self-Brain Surgery.
David knew this long before brain scans: "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy." Psalm 94:19.
Operate on it today. The next time worry starts writing the script, interrupt it with "What if it works out?" and turn the knob toward gratitude.
Which worry keeps stealing your peace?
Comment it, save this for the spiral, and send it to someone who needs a better rehearsal.

She was a person regardless. Genetic abnormalities that require being a patient don’t mean you’re not a person.
Replying to @noor_siddiqui_
This is Lucy. Born in December. Not because of luck. Because of a choice.
She doesn't have to become a patient before she becomes a person. She just gets to be a kid.
For 300,000 years, every parent handed their child a genetic hand they’d never seen. That era is over. We are the first life form to read its own source code and select the next generation. Soon this will be the default way we have babies.
I want to end the genetic lottery and let every family make their own luck.
All of human history, we rolled the dice.
We don’t have to anymore.

I’m not at liberty to share all the details, but suffice it to say that many people rejoicing over this have given a completely incorrect rendering of what occurred and why.
ICE did not come to his home. This whole thing is a paperwork issue that they’re working to resolve.
Samuel Sey is a good man. As you can imagine, his wife, who’s at home with their 3 babies, is devastated and also trusting the Lord to help them find a resolution quickly. Please pray for all of the Seys. Pray for wisdom and provision.
Those celebrating because they don’t like something Sam said are slanderous backbiters and gossips. Pay them no mind
You’re tracking the location of my minor children. I’m not on the flights.
Example: today, while I was in Winterset, Red Oak, and Sidney the plane went to pick up my kids.
@RobSandIA has given permission for his supporters to track my children.
As I’ve said it’s despicable.

POWERFUL MOMENT: Vice President JD Vance just led an entire Nebraska crowd in the Lord’s Prayer after a medical emergency in the middle of his speech.
As medical personnel rushed to assist an attendee, Vance paused his remarks and invited the crowd to join him in prayer.
The Vice President turned to his faith, recalling how the Lord taught us to pray in moments like these.
Thousands gathered in prayer as they waited for news about the person receiving medical attention.
A powerful display of faith and compassion, @JDVance

He went from barely making the top 75 for JV boys only a month ago to 2nd in the female division today. Watching him casually stroll by all the girls he just displaced is so disheartening.

The fastest way to get ahead is to become obsessed with solving problems. Stop seeing obstacles as reasons to quit. Treat them as challenges that teach you valuable lessons. Every failed attempt gives you information that can make the next one better.

Since then, we've learned that they violated state law by moving $38M without required board approval.
They also overspent their capital projects fund by $45M over the last four fiscal years.
They've now had to take out an $8M loan just to meet their cash-flow needs in the current school year.
Our state's third largest school district has spent years wasting our money and the 'Auditor' gave them an award for it.

How can anyone listen to this vessel of the Most High—Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell and still call him a false teacher?
This is the very same man I have been listening to for over three years. A man whose love for God and reverence for His Word are evident in his consistent call for the body of Christ to pursue holiness, walk in righteousness, and prepare for the return of our Lord.
There is a sincerity and authenticity in his devotion to God that is difficult to overlook.
Y’all need to move beyond the familiarity of lifeless, churchy sermons and genuinely come to know God for yourselves.
Spiritual discernment is cultivated through intimacy with Him and a growing knowledge of His Word. The more deeply you know His character and His truth, the better equipped you become to discern what is of Him and what is not.
You cannot afford to substitute familiarity with church culture for genuine intimacy with God.
Learn His Word.
Walk in His ways.
Cultivate a relationship with Him.
Because knowing God is fundamental to discerning truth from error.
