Canada is mourning a terrible tragedy at CFB Wainwright. Our soldiers put their lives on the line in service to our country, and to lose them here at home is devastating. My heart is with the families grieving unimaginable losses, those fighting for their lives, and the entire Canadian Armed Forces community.
To the firefighters, paramedics, medical teams, and first responders who rushed into danger to save lives, thank you. Our Armed Forces have always answered Canada's call. Now we must answer theirs. Calgary stands shoulder to shoulder with Wainwright, and we are ready to provide whatever support is needed.

With the latest provincial overreach, Danielle Smith is now ordering me how to vote at Calgary City Council. If I refuse, I risk losing my job. I want to work constructively with the province, even when we disagree. But we must be free to listen to residents and make fair decisions.

Should Danielle Smith be able to order your local council to vote to approve rezoning for a massive AI data centre? And threaten to fire your democratically elected mayor if they vote against it? This latest provincial overreach isn't about density. It's about your legal right to a fair hearing.
