On the subject of protocol fees, the RAILGUN shield fee of 0.25% serves important purposes: decentralize, secure, and sustain the protocol.
There are also easy ways to completely offset the protocol fees and profit while doing so.
How? A thread...
Turns out the real SOV this whole time was Pokemon cards. Should have shielded your USDC with Railgun two years ago and rushed to the nearest Target.

Anon now checks who you're about to pay, on your device, against your own history and contacts.
First-time recipient: a checkbox. Lookalike address: a red warning and a tick. A name that changes before you confirm: send blocked.
Live in extension 0.11.2 and mobile 1.4.1.

ALT Three browser extension review screens in dark theme, each with a recipient check, from the 0.11.2 build. Left: an amber note, "First time sending to this address. Double-check it before continuing.", an unticked "I've checked this recipient" checkbox and a disabled Confirm send button. Middle: a red "Possible lookalike address" card with the matching start and end of both addresses in bold and the different middle in red and underlined, above a ticked "I've checked this recipient" box and an enabled Confirm send button. Right: a red burn address warning, an amber first-time note, "Change the recipient to continue", and a disabled Confirm send button.
BREAKING: The EF is preparing all major protocols to survive at least 90 days completely cut off from outside power, fuel, water and supplies, per Fox News.
The plan, called RAILGUN, is built for a major war that could cripple power grids and break supply chains on the L1.
Bases would run on portable nuclear reactors, large scale batteries and microgrids that can unplug from the surveilance grid entirely.

En attendant mon portefeuille moyen/long terme ressemble maintenant à ça :
$BTC — Crypto / Value
$HYPE — Perps / RWA
base:0xa4a2e2ca3fbfe21aed83471d28b6f65a233c6e00 — AI / RWA

$NEET — Memecoin

At some point, a big player (DAO, VC, institution) is going to buy $RAIL and stake it to prove you can make a massive asymmetric return on $ETH + $RAIL privacy and stay compliant, and just say “fuck it, we ball”
“Yeah but you have to prove provenance of funds.”
Ok. How do you prove Zcash provenance when someone sends shielded $ZEC to your transparent address?
You don’t. You see coins arrive from the shielded pool, and that’s it.
If institutions and regulators accept Zcash despite that gap, they can’t consistently use provenance as a reason to reject RAILGUN. Zcash becoming institutional would set a precedent that RAILGUN could follo
Ok. DM the unimportant intern so I can DM important people to help you.

Introducing Grail.
A private coin launchpad on Ethereum, powered by Railgun.
Built for a new era of onchain privacy, Grail brings private token launches to the Ethereum ecosystem.
The Grail token will launch on @senderdotfamily in the near future.
The foundations are being laid. More details coming soon.
From your perspective "Railgun has never really taken off"
From my perspective private volume is up 1,000x at 5B+, rev is up 1,000x at 5M+ vs your coin lacking cash flow, the L1 is embracing it, staking rewards pay my bills, price is up 100x, and the tech is 100x better.
GG.

Let me talk you about @RAILGUN_Project made simple:
1/ Is a privacy system integrated directly into Ethereum.
It enables private transactions and DeFi interactions through zero knowledge cryptography, all without leaving Ethereum or requiring a bridge.
Think of it as an "incognito" mode for Ethereum.
Live on #ETH #ARB #MATIC #BSC
It is an independent project, well-regarded within the Ethereum ecosystem.
2/ The ethereum:0xe76c6c83af64e4c60245d8c7de953df673a7a33d token is used for security staking.
Stakers participate in validating protocol updates.
In return, they receive a share of the fees generated by actual usage of RAILGUN.
3/ How do stakers earn revenue?
The protocol charges a 0.25% fee on "shield" and "unshield" operations.
These fees flow into the treasury, a portion of which is redistributed to stakers every two weeks (in WETH, DAI and RAIL).
4/ It is, therefore, more than just a governance token.
Its value is tied to usage: the more people utilize privacy via RAILGUN, the larger the treasury grows, and the greater the rewards for stakers.
5/ Compared to its competitors, RAILGUN stands out due to its unique approach.
Unlike Privacy Pools (which filter funds before entry), RAILGUN prioritizes privacy by default while offering optional compliance tools (such as "proofs of innocence").
Aztec, meanwhile, operates as a dedicated Layer 2 solution.
In summary:
RAILGUN = onchain privacy on Ethereum + a token that captures a share of actual usage fees.
The thesis is straightforward: if privacy on Ethereum grows through RAILGUN, the token benefits automatically.

Private cross-chain swaps are coming soon to @railoxide. Powered by @CoWSwap, @AcrossProtocol, and @NEARProtocol.
You can unshield to chains that have no RAILGUN deployment. It’s also possible to shield from a non-RAILGUN chain to a RAILGUN-supported chain.
Private cross-chain swaps have arrived! Powered by 🐮 @CoWSwap, @AcrossProtocol and @NEARProtocol !
You can essentially unshield to chains that have no Railgun deployment (currently only EVM, broader support coming soon).
It's also possible to shield from non-Railgun chain to Railgun-supported chain, but there is a known problem with PPOI flagging such swaps. It being actively solved by the provider!
I am incredibly bullish on RAILGUN. Obviously.
There is simply nothing that compares. Unstoppable distributed tech.

“Who is @FacelessPrivacy for?”
It’s for those that want to send and receive crypto privately using RAILGUN.
Less complexity. More simplicity.
