🚨 BREAKING 🚨 It looks like Ford is planning a major sell-off of schools. Through the TDSB, Toronto taxpayers own 612 properties worth $20 billion. Ford changed the rules so his Minister of Education could sell any school to anyone he wants. Ford's TDSB supervisor met twice as often with the TDSB's property management arm as with parents. #OntEd #onpoli

If you've ever had to change your tires, you paid an eco-fee. We are told this fee covers recycling old tires and keeping our environment clean, except that it hasn't been happening. Many have noticed tires piling up behind garages, and even parks.

I've been calling on the government to restore the recyling targets and am happy to learn that the government is starting to listen. Thank you to everyone who spoke up about this issue and kept it in the public eye.

Tonight at sundown, Jewish communities across Ontario will begin observing Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. It's a day of fasting, prayer and reflection: a time to seek forgiveness, to repair what's broken, and to begin again. To everyone observing, I wish you a meaningful fast and a good year ahead. G'mar Chatima Tova.

Our community is shaken after another young life has been taken away by senseless gun violence. My deepest condolences to the family, and I hope all of those with information will come forward.

Earlier this year I tabled 'click to cancel legislation' that would make it as easy to cancel a subscription as it was to sign up. #clicktocancel #ndp #onpoli #consumerprotection

Tonight at sundown, Jewish families across Ontario will gather around tables filled with apples and honey and the sound of the shofar to welcome the year 5787. Rosh Hashanah opens the High Holy Days: a time for reflection on the year past, for seeking forgiveness, and for hope in the year to come. To everyone celebrating in Ontario and around the world, I wish you a sweet new year surrounded by the people you love. Shana Tova U'Metukah!

Twenty-five years ago today, the world watched in horror as thousands of innocent people were murdered on September 11th, including 24 Canadians. We remember the victims and everyone who loved them. We honour the first responders who ran toward danger, so many of whom gave their lives, and those still dying today from illnesses they carry from that morning. And we remember how Canadians from every corner of this country answered that day: communities like Gander, Newfoundland, where a town of 10,000 took in 6,600 stranded travellers, and cities and towns across Canada that opened their homes to strangers. That is who we are. Through the darkest days of our shared history, Canadians and Americans have stood shoulder to shoulder. Never forget.

Companies track what you buy and search to answer one question: what's the most YOU will pay? Not one price for everyone. Your price. Manitoba's NDP banned it first. Ontario must be next.

Every long weekend, every safe worksite, and every paycheque worth raising a family on can be traced back to the labour movement and unions. This party was built by that movement and we are still fighting for workers today. Happy Labour Day! #onpoli #labourday2026
