For centuries, the architecture of the firm has barely changed: hierarchies of people organized into departments and coordinated through bureaucracy.
AI agents are about to upend that.
We’re moving toward the self-driving company where humans exercise judgment and agents execute most of the work.
At Replit, we’re building the foundation for this new kind of company. We’re calling it “the Agent Habitat.”
Marc Andreessen wrote a fantastic piece placing this shift in the history of computing. Every major computing revolution began with chaos before businesses figured out how to harness it.

Three qualities I hire for:
- curiosity
- hunger to win
- resilience and optimism
aka people who obsess over how the world works, volunteer for the hard stuff, do A+ work, and stay optimistic even when things don't go their way.

Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

Stupid simple framework for prioritizing AI use cases in your business.
X axis = can we execute it today? (readiness)
Y axis = how big is the prize? (impact)
1) Accelerate now = big prize, ready to execute
2) Invest to unlock = big prize, not ready
3) Quick wins = small prize, ready to execute
4) Deprioritize = small prize, not ready
The world of personal agents keeps growing

Travis Kalanick on the founder's paradox: the better you get, the harder it is to stay fired up.
"The young entrepreneurs that are coming up right now don't totally get it."
"When you get into your 3rd and 4th company, I don't know, this may be even my 5th at this point, you get fricking really good at doing stuff."
"Things that used to take me a day or three days, a lot of stress, anxiety, like, 'How am I gonna do this?' take me like 45 minutes. And that's a beautiful thing."
"I'm so used to adversity at this point that it's kind of normal, so I don't get as pissed off. But being pissed off makes you good as an entrepreneur, so I gotta make sure I'm still fired up."
"You get too used to adversity, and that's kind of a problem."

There is a massive wave coming that almost no business is ready for - agentic traffic
<1% of consumers are using agents now, but that will change and usher in a new era of consumer demand

Higgsfield have scaled to $1BN in ARR in 18 months; that is faster than Cursor.
But did you know they have over 150 people in content production alone?
For every product release, funding announcement, you name it, they have built a content machine that is unmatched.
The next generation of companies will have content baked into their DNA.

Great answer… @satyanadella is a master strategist
Satya Nadella was asked why Microsoft, with a $175 billion AI budget, still doesn't have a frontier model.
Satya Nadella:
"We are well on our way building our MAI models our goal is to basically hill climb from the bottom, by the way, not distilling anything."
"My advice is more like use all but be independent of all. I would pull out a model and see whether I can retain the eval.
If I can't, that means you really are dependent on something that may or may not be yours."
"If you're a hyperscaler, you're not a supplier to two model companies, that's not a business we need more."
"I worked on Windows interrupt with Unix first. In fact, it was counterintuitive, right ?
We used to think, oh my god, this means we'll be less used, except we were more used we were able to penetrate the enterprise primarily because we did that interrupt work."
If owning the infrastructure layer was the Microsoft plan and winning move, why is the same company now racing to build its own frontier model ?

Vertical software requires a different business model than horizontal platforms.
Dom Dinardo's rule: you need to understand your customers at a fundamentally deeper level. Their stakeholders, their operational pain points, their daily workflows.
That means keeping account teams stable, building relationships that compound over years, and operating more like a trusted advisor than a vendor.
