I'm proud to represent a program backed by the best people in the country. The support behind Texas Tech is what keeps this thing growing and pushes us to level up every day. We appreciate everybody investing in the future of Red Raider Football.

Stole an in conference QB, took down the whole NCAA for a month, and made everyone hate us just to say we could. Now Will Hammond is my QB just like we planned.
Can’t believe this is my life.

Blaming Tech for this mess is such a bizarre take. We’re doing what any other program would do.

What wild 24 hours. Here are 3⃣ misconceptions/misinformation I'm seeing regarding the Brendan Sorsby case:
1. He bet on games he played in.
He did NOT bet on any games he suited up for.
While not great he bet on games while redshirting, he never bet on a game he suit up in.
2. The Judge in this case is from Lubbock.
Ken Curry is a retired Tarrant County (Fort Worth) judge that graduated from Houston and UT-Arlington. He is currently eligible to practice law and his practice is listed in Colleyville, TX (over 300 miles from Lubbock).
3. Texas Tech did something wrong.
He made all of his bets before taking a snap at Texas Tech. Cincinnati was alerted to his potential gambling activity (per ESPN).
Texas Tech declared him ineligible and will now follow the temporary injunction (like the rest of the NCAA).

In the last three years, Texas Tech, more than anyone else in the country, has taken full advantage of the current rules.
They did it again with Sorsby.
Texas Tech isn't breaking CFB, they are just navigating the system better than you.

An incredible journey. Thank you, @TexasTechSB ❤️
You made Red Raider Nation proud once again, not only for all you accomplished on the field, but through the impact you've made beyond it.

Seen a TON of misinformation regarding transfers for Texas and Texas Tech softball. The numbers floating around are incorrect for both teams. So this should help provide some accurate information and also some context to the discussion.
Texas Tech has eight new transfers on the roster in 2026. They have 15 total transfers.
Texas has four new transfers on the roster in 2026. They have five total transfers.
Texas Tech's eight new transfers this season:
Jackie Lis (Southern Illinois)
Mia Williams (Florida)
Lagi Quiroga (Cal)
Taylor Pannell (Tennessee)
Desi Spearman (New Mexico State)
Jazzy Burns (Ohio State)
Kaitlyn Terry (UCLA)
Nikolette Schmidt (Houston)
Texas' four new transfers this season:
Kaiah Altmeyer (Arizona)
Taylor Anderson (Oklahoma State)
Brenlee Gonzales (Texas Tech)
Sophia Bordi (Oklahoma)
Texas Tech's prior transfers:
Alana Johnson (Washington)
Nija Canady (Stanford)
Mihyia Davis (Louisiana)
Chloe Riasetto (Louisiana)
Vic Valdez (Louisiana)
Lauren Allred (Louisiana)
Makayla Garcia (UT-Tyler)
Texas' prior transfers:
Kaydee Bennett (Abilene Christian)
One other note of context: Gerry Glasco took over at Texas Tech prior to the 2025 season. Davis, Riassetto, Allred, and Valdez came with him from Louisiana (along with the now graduated Alexa Langeliers) to help build this new program that had only three returners from the 2024 team: Reagan Jennings, Logan Halleman, and Demi Elder.
They had three players left from the prior era. The portal (and their eight-player recruiting class for 2025) was necessary to mold a roster out of thin air.
So anyway, stop sharing that bogus graphic... and also stop acting like any team that is utilizing the transfer portal or NIL (Texas, Texas Tech or anyone else) is doing anything wrong.
