[DDLC x Fortnite] I... kind of can't believe I have to say this, but even though DDLC is a horror game, the franchise still centers around mental health. Monika harms her friends in the game out of desperation to escape her existential, fictional hell, but even then she couldn't bring herself to entirely delete them, nor could she even *directly* harm them, instead convincing herself that it was their own faults. And of course she regrets all this in the end. And the Side Stories are wholesome tales of friendship, which have helped give DDLC a more oddly wholesome presence when it comes to official art, merch, etc. I don't see these characters shooting each other with guns. I can't imagine Dan wants to associate that sort of imagery with his characters. I'm fine with Fortnite, and of course it's fun to imagine adorable anime school girls blasting others with weapons, but this sort of collab could literally *never* happen.
