The finished cut. Same story. Music scored to the piece, every transition grown from the art. Seeds open, code resolves into the garden, golden squares carry you through, and it closes back on the mark. First draft above. This is the Signal standard. rarepatternsignal.com

We don't count down to a mint. We grow to it. On rarepatternsignal.com, a seed head made in code grows a little each day. It starts small and cool, and the light warms as it fills in. On November 2 it's fully grown, the spirals trace once, and Signal #001 Fragment Lock mints. Come back and watch it grow.

Why Golden Angle The second Signal. The artist's own idea. One seed in the dark. Then another. Then hundreds. A sunflower, finding its shape. From the seeds, a painting grows. Flowers in a jug. Pinecones. A bowl of seeds. The same pattern in all of it. Nothing is placed by hand. Every seed has a sound. Then the light comes up on what grew. The garden, carried into code. Signed by the artist. Still Life. October 27, 2026.

Why Fragment Lock The first Signal. The artist's own idea. A field that will not sit still. It bends, it drifts, it comes apart. Most of it lets go. What remains, holds. Nothing is placed by hand. The form was always there, waiting to be found. That is where every Signal begins. Sound and image grew from the same code. One chord, held. Then light. That chord never left. It became the ground this site stands on. Every visit begins where #001 began. Genesis. October 13, 2026.

GM. Visit rarepatternsignal.com and the site grows a piece just for you. Watch closely. Every mark is born as code, a 1, then locks into a square. The squares turn along the golden spiral, each one grown from the two before it. 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8. The same count as the seeds in a sunflower. Code becoming form. Its colors come from four studio pigments, and the time you visit decides its light. Morning, a pale Naples yellow glaze. Midday, clear studio light. Evening, burnt sienna, cadmium in the highlights. Night, ivory black, only the embers glowing. Your hour makes it yours. Share it. The Signals are the artist's works. One every 14 days now. My time is shared with other serious commitments, and each Signal needs its composition, palette, motion and music finished with care. Time to get each one right.

New: rarepatternsignal.com is live. Every visit grows a new work. A Fibonacci field, composed and set in motion. Stay with it, or leave. It won't come back the same. The music is built from Signal #001, the Genesis piece. Its motif is #001's own chord, A E C B, set in A minor. The progression moves Am, Fmaj7, Am, G6 and home again, over detuned pads with the fracture's ticks and wave sweeps rolling through. It closes by quoting the lock, a major third and a high A, before folding back into A minor. A 48 second loop. No samples, no instruments. 100% code. Rare Pattern Signal is an art practice by @RarePatterns. One Signal at a time, each one made in code and directed by RarePatterns. It begins with Genesis. Signal #001, Fragment Lock. Editions of 5 on Transient Labs. Mint coming shortly. Suggest a Signal on the site. Chosen ideas are credited in Signal Origins. @harvey_rayner @jared_poz @8NAP_ART @Ars0nic @mendezmendez @ItsNaastaaraan @suparno67 @1xharsh @Richi0118 @ebrahimelmii @YigitDuman @Ed_Balloon @_sigmaX_ @AdamWeitsman @m0dest___ @TransientLabs @benstraussphoto @photonisdead @deltasauce

The first. F-7745-250D. The first piece ever grown in the Fibonacci field on Rare Pattern Signal. It existed for one visit, and it will never grow again. Neither will yours. rarepatternsignal.com/piece?…
