Since 2015 the U.S. has had:
• ~885,000 drug overdose deaths
• ~428,000 total firearm deaths
• ~164,000 gun homicides
Overdoses have killed roughly twice as many people as all gun deaths combined and more than five times as many as gun murders.
Most gun deaths are suicides, not homicides. The overdose crisis has been larger by a wide margin.
Since 2015, the U.S. has recorded roughly 885,000 drug overdose deaths (CDC final data through 2024 + provisional ~70k for 2025).
That’s more than the combined combat deaths from every U.S. war since the Korean War.
The count peaked near 108k in 2022 and has now fallen three years in a row.

We sang “Seminole Wind” last night in Arizona to show our love, admiration and respect for our good friend, and country legend, John Anderson. Been a while since I sang with a tear in my eye. @BigKennyTV @cowboytroy 👇
