Jay & Em were the first rappers to have “the button” pushed when hip-hop went mainstream
As they aged Eminem got low, occasionally dropped music and has kept a lot of his popularity
Jay has spent the last decade trying to sell product disguised as “culture” and it’s corny now.

Akademiks goes off on the hip-hop media bums who call themselves journalists, saying they’re lazy retards who do less than the bare minimum and still act like they’re doing serious media work.
These idiots just sit around waiting for a story to land in their laps, repeat the bullshit that’s already circulating online, and call it journalism.
These guys will never get into the weeds of a story, chase down the details, or bring a perspective that makes people look at the situation differently. A lot of them won’t even touch certain stories if it makes somebody they fuck with look bad. The second the facts become inconvenient for one of their friends or industry connections, suddenly they have nothing to say.
This is why independent creators are flourishing online. People are tired of watered-down media personalities protecting relationships and recycling safe narratives. The creators willing to dig deeper, ask uncomfortable questions, and actually bring something new are the ones winning.

Miami rapper 1000Milan, whose real name is Milan Brewer, recently filed a lawsuit against producer Axel Morgan, who is credited as a writer on Kendrick Lamar's track "m.A.A.d city," for allegedly using his vocals and lyrics without credit.
According to All Hip-Hop, Brewer is arguing that he should be recognized as a joint author of "m.A.A.d city," alleging that Morgan borrowed from his April 2012 track "Ridin Rollercoaster."

The class action lawsuit that accused Stake of running an "illegal online casino" and allegedly using the funds to artificially inflate Drake's streaming numbers has reportedly been terminated by a federal judge.
The lawsuit, which was originally filed in Virginia in 2025 and targeted Drake, Stake, Adin Ross, Kick, and George Nguyen, reportedly never made it to the discovery process, with the court not validating any of the plaintiffs' allegations.
