I said Arsenal would win this league comfortably, and I’m standing by it. We went to Anfield with a squad far from full strength, beat Liverpool and kept a clean sheet. That says everything.
I’m really unimpressed by the calibre of managers challenging Mikel this season. After just nine gameweeks, we’ve already separated the contenders from the pretenders.
Sometimes it’s not about assembling a billion pound squad to win trophies. Just look at the hundreds of millions Man City have spent on players who couldn’t score a single goal at home.
We need proper competition before this league becomes Arsenal’s farmers’ league. Is it Carrick, De Zerbi, Alonso or who exactly is supposed to challenge Arsenal? And this is despite Arsenal not even playing that well this season. A draw tomorrow puts us top, and we all know Arteta won’t lose to Liverpool.
Bring back Ferguson, Mourinho, Pep and Klopp or let Barcelona and Bayern join the Premier League and replace some of these so called big teams. I’m begging you, give me a reason not to lose interest in this title race.
