This year, as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration, MLB Together set out to use the power of our sport to celebrate volunteerism and support charitable organizations across the country.
In conjunction with all 30 MLB Clubs, all 120 Minor League Clubs, and our partners, the goal was set at 250,000 volunteer hours.
To date, we have surpassed our stated goal and reached a total of 279,656 volunteer hours.
The announcement was made today at the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay Pinellas Park.
Hall of Famer CC Sabathia, and 2026 Clemente Award winner Francisco Lindor joined staff from MLB and the Tampa Bay Rays at the event, along with former Major League players Gary Sheffield, Michael Bourn, Scott Kazmir, Jed Lowrie, Prince Fielder, Félix Hernández, Jimmy Rollins, as well as Roberto Clemente’s sons Roberto Jr. and Luis.

While diagnosed with left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy, that hasn’t prevented Justin’s pursuit of all things sports - especially when it comes to commentating. Fun fact, he would be an excellent sports trivia partner!
