Shigeru Miyamoto has been awarded the "Order of Culture" for his contribution to Japanese culture, one of Japan’s highest honors!
He will be the first person from the video game industry to receive the award. Previous recipients have been people such as Nobel prize winners and humanitarian scientists.

Paul Atreides built the Qizarate to steer the holy war fought in his name. By Dune Messiah, the priesthood runs without him, and he can't shut it down without making the jihad worse.

Dune's Qizarate effectively trapped Paul in his own holy war by manipulating religious fervor into a political weapon. We examine how this systematic control forced his hand.

We have been posting videos that are interesting. However we did this while working out the structure and strategy for our Channel. With feedback from all of you and our very small team here at Geek Impulse, we want to let you know that starting next week the videos will be different in a good way and we hope you like them as well.
Just another example as to why our CEO wants to buy Sega at somepoint in the future. It will happen and he will make Sega a great company once again.
ALT We’re aware that Total War: Shogun 2 – Complete Edition has fallen short of both your expectations and our own standards. We’ve seen your feedback, comments, and reviews. We agree that the current experience is not where it needs to be. As a result we are working with platform holders to temporarily remove the game from sale and to reinstate the original game while we investigate the issues. Existing owners will still be able to access and play the game. We are working closely with our development partner to identify the causes of these problems, deliver improvements, and ensure Shogun 2 – Complete Edition meets the quality standards players expect from Total War. We see them as modern creations, products of comic books and blockbuster movies, born in the 20th century. But what if I told you that we've been telling stories about them for thousands of years?

We just lost another legend today 😔
A voice that helped bring superheroes, villains and classic cartoon characters to life for an entire generation has gone silent. 🕊️
Veteran actor and voice performer Edson Silva has passed away, leaving behind a career that stretched across Brazilian radio, theater, television, film and dubbing.
For Brazilian audiences, his voice became attached to characters from some of animation’s earliest superhero worlds. He gave Hawkman a commanding heroic presence, brought brute force to Solomon Grundy, and even stepped into the Marvel universe as Klaw. His work also reached Scooby-Doo and classic literary animation.
Long before superhero universes became global blockbusters, performers like Edson Silva were already giving those characters voices audiences could believe in.
The recordings may belong to another era, but every time those classic dubs play again, his voice returns with them.
Rest in peace, Edson Silva 🤍

EXCLUSIVE: "WandaVision" creator Jac Schaeffer is developing a new "Stargate" TV series for Amazon MGM Studios.
This will be Amazon's second attempt at a new "Stargate" series. It was previously reported that Martin Gero was working on a new TV entry in the sci-fi franchise, but that project ultimately did not move forward.

We have dropped our latest video. It was flagged for content but that's ok if we never make money from it. As @Ghostbusters fans we are just happy to make the video. Check it out at the link below.

The Anime industry is at a weird point in history. So many deaths. Will actual talented people show up and continue the legacy?
Anime just lost a legend whose work quietly connected generations of fans. 🕊️
Veteran animator, character designer and animation director Kenichiro Katsura has passed away at 59 while undergoing treatment for an illness.
Across more than four decades, Katsura worked on everything from classic anime to modern hits, sometimes designing entire casts and other times helping bring individual scenes to life.
Some of his notable works included:
- Macross 7 — character design / animation direction
- Knight’s & Magic — character design / chief animation director
- That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime — chief animation director
- SYNDUALITY Noir — character design / chief animation director
- Ranma ½ — key animation
- Magic Knight Rayearth — key animation
- Date A Live II — key animation
- Blue Lock Season 2 — key animation
- Gintama: The Movie 2026 – Yoshiwara in Flames — animation director
- The Fruit of Grisaia — chief animation director Anime
and many more!
From Ranma ½ and Macross 7 to Blue Lock and Slime, Katsura’s career became a bridge between different eras of anime.
His family’s final request was beautifully fitting: remember the characters and drawings you loved, and someday watch his work again.
The animator is gone, but thousands of frames carrying his hand will keep moving.
Rest in peace, Kenichiro Katsura. 🤍
