All Costco Chicken Now Halal In Canada? Although I couldn't find an official costco anoucement confirming that all their chicken produts where halal but it's clear by checking Costco's website costco that they have been expanding their halal offering. Also, primary suppliers used by costco's Kirkland brand like Sargent Farms, Exceldor Cooperative and Maple Lodge Farms either offer 100% halal chicken or have dedicated halal chicken product lines. So are all chicken products at Costco 100% halal, no, at least I can't prove it but, one thing worth mentioning is that he Canadian Food Inspection Agency does not require food labels to indicate the religious clasification of their meat Meaning that we could unknowgingly be eating halal meat. And for me, that's a big problem. As a Christian, i refuse to eat any meat that has been blessed in the name allah but no matter if you are christian or not, it shouldn't matter because since when is it ok for our government to allow companies to lie to us about the provenance of our food? So if you want me to make sure that you are not eating halal food, buy pork products like bacon, only buy from your local farms and butchers or of course hunt your own meat.
