The Carnegie's built libraries, which became woke indoctrination camps. Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Rockefeller built out our elite universities, which also suffered the same fate.....Now, @elonmusk turns the tables. He doesn't create self indulgent institutions that will eventually be corrupted. He gives Americans a slice of America. Bravo to our favorite African American!!

California’s “civil war” isn’t about guns, it’s about gas, groceries, and who pays. A new refinery inventory mandate (ABX2-1) is framed as the “shot heard around the state,” forcing refiners to keep pumping during shutdowns they say is physically impossible. The result? Higher prices, refinery closures, and an affordability fight the author says only voters can end.

A paid ad for Gabe Escobedo’s Santa Barbara City Council campaign tells voters to “Vote on or before June 2!” for a November 3 election. One wrong date raises a bigger question: if the details slip on the campaign, what happens with city budgets, reserves, and contracts once the votes are cast?

Election Deniers: Corruption Starts at School
They scream “election denier” at anyone demanding clean counts. Then look the other way while schools hide curricula, fail kids, and cook the books.
Same crowd. Same double standard. Time to see where the real corruption starts.

Polls say some Trump voters may sit out or swing toward DSA candidates this midterm. Jim Buckley doesn’t buy it. He runs through border numbers near zero, the 2025 tax bill, judges, energy independence, Title IX and gender rules, and crime drops in cities that took federal help and argues November 3 should be treated as if Trump were still on the ballot.

More than 10 million people have left California since 2010. Andy Caldwell’s alternative: stop voting for the party that has run the state for 20 years, and use his ballot guide — from governor to local supervisor, plus yes/no calls on Propositions 1–5, 37–45.

El Niño is coming. Be afraid… Not. John Summer says the next Central Coast pattern is the same weather fishermen named centuries ago — not a fossil-fuel plot and California’s real miss is failing to store the rain.

A Central Coast Democrat who has lived here 21 years says Rep. Salud Carbajal has been missing in action for a decad on immigration reform, on Dreamers, and on the families still living in fear of deportation. Angel Rodriguez argues that a renamed Santa Maria post office is not a record, that credit for a housing bill he didn’t vote for doesn’t count, and that Latino voters should stop treating a familiar name on the ballot as a substitute for results.
He wants Carbajal to debate Bob Smith and answer one question: where has he been?

Prop 45 would put deadlines on CEQA reviews for housing, roads, water, wildfire work, and more while leaving nuclear, gas plants, and jails on the slow track. Lou Segal weighs the exclusions, the energy-cost tradeoffs, and why he still lands on yes.

Governor Newsom just vetoed three bills his own Democratic Legislature passed that would have raised costs for Californians: richer public pensions, harder-to-deny remote work for state employees, and a partial rollback of last year’s CEQA housing reforms. Even he wouldn’t sign the “anti-affordability” agenda. Voters get their turn through November 3.

Karen Basura says we don't need an election because a Republican cannot win, and Xavier Basura is "already the governor". This is so revealing.
This is what happens when you have one-party rule: these politicians take you for granted and don't even TRY to earn your vote. Becerra isn't even campaigning. If you democrats actually want your politicians to DO something for you, you need to hand them an L once in a while, to keep them honest so they actually TRY to earn your vote.
More got done in LA in the few months that I was campaigning than in a decade or more, all because I put a little fear in this vile reptile. Now that there's no opposition in the race, that's over for LA, and voters will get nothing. It's just dumb and dumber. These scummy politicians feel entitled to your vote, they know you'll vote blue no matter who, and they can do the worst job imaginable, steal your tax dollars, let your cities rot and burn to the ground, knowing that you'll take it because of partisan allegiance and nice weather.
The best thing for democrats in California is to hand a democrat just ONE loss, so 4 years from now they actually feel like they need to TRY and earn your vote. Then maybe you'll get a better crop of democrats. If you keep rewarding them with your vote, they'll keep getting worse and worse.
A new governor isn’t enough. The attorney general decides whether the laws voters pass actually survive. Michael Gates says California’s rescue hinges on that race.
