Just a reminder that New York is the only state in the union that categorically prohibits judges from considering the dangers posed by a defendant to the public in every aspect of the retrial release inquiry.

It’s time for regular people to take matters into their own hands if they want justice. Also, make these judges afraid to pass such sentences. If that means some of them suffer the same fate as the victims they ignore, then so be it.

The answer is, alas: No. We cannot dispel the sociological nonsense that education and poverty improvements are the only way to tackle crime. It is a matter of faith. And an entire academic field founded on and vested in the idea that people lack agency.
Homicides drop to record levels while Philadelphia’s poverty rate climbs and we close schools. Can we now dispel the sociological nonsense that education and poverty improvements are the only ways to tackle crime?

With this tweet, you've expressed more concern for a citizen of a foreign country than you ever did any American murdered by illegal aliens.

New-police have recovered a 9mm handgun linked to the killing of Congressional Intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym. It was found police say last week when U.S. Park Police pulled over a stolen car w/3 teens inside. Prosecutors say gun linked to shell casing at the scene. @nbcwashington

You ever notice how a lot of the same decarcerationists who justify their desire to keep people out of prison by saying “No one should be forever defined by the worst thing they’ve ever done,” almost always define the America and her Founders by their worst sins?

An inconvenient truth.
In 1960, only 22% of black kids grew up in single parent homes. Four out of five black kids lived with both parents. Thirty years later, after the liberal welfare state, that number had more than tripled. That tripling was not due to the legacy of slavery. - Thomas Sowell

Her bio shows she was appointed by Trump and other Republicans throughout her career. She’s unfit, duped a lot of people along the way and has no business being a judge.
A judge bullies a lawyer she thinks is white, but is actually Latino, calling him a “chad” and “Mr. Social Media, Main Character Chad, White Hero, Savior, Loves to Help Black People Be An Ally.” The percentage of unhinged educated people one encounters these days is disconcerting. This account goes on and on. She doesn’t think she was out of line.

There’s a really great book called Being Wrong that opens up with a story just like this.
This is William F. Buckley engaged in friendly banter with Edgar Smith on his show Firing Line in 1971. Smith had been convicted of abducting and murdering a 15 year old girl in 1957 - and sentenced to death. Buckley was impressed with Smith's writing ability and became persuaded he was innocent. He supported him financially, and worked to have him freed. He succeeded in this, and then immediately had him on his television show. A few years later, Smith abducted a woman in San Diego at knife point, forced her into his car, and then stabbed her in the chest. She managed to get free from him, but Smith went back to jail, where he only died in 2017 on the taxpayer's dime. Had be been executed back in New Jersey, this woman would never have met Smith. We hear a lot from the Innocence Project about people being let out of jail on technicalities who may be innocent - and might not be. But we don't hear enough about the cases where people intervene to get guilty people released, who then go on and victimize others. A little more balance would be good.
