I don’t know why the DA and ANC domkops refuse to acknowledge that their parties are declining. We affirm our commitment to continue strengthening bilateral relations between our two countries and working closely together in all multilateral fora to forge a just and better world order underpinned by solidarity and adherence to international law.
One would expect only one or two people to leave the ANC for the DA. In reality, there is clear evidence that more people have left the ANC for the EFF than for the DA.
This undercuts the simple assumption that the ANC’s decline must automatically translate into DA growth.
