Artificial lawns should be banned. In the face of a biodiversity crisis, we should be creating habitats, not covering our gardens in ugly plastic where no life can exist. They're non-recyclable, dangerous to pets, the negative list goes on... please sign!!

Hoverflies are important pollinators - with 280 species in the UK alone. Each time you let wildflowers grow, plant nectar-rich plants, allow ivy to flower, or avoid pesticides, you'll be helping these beneficial insects! Pic via @EcoRecording

Butterfly Conservation has received lots of fantastic messages from people who are seeing the extinct Black-veined White butterfly in south-east London. Seeing butterflies is one of the heart-warming delights that should accompany a sunny day. 🧵👇 (1/5)

What happens after #NoMowMay?
🌼It's time for #LetItBloomJune!🌼
You may think the end of #NoMowMay signifies the time to mow everything down - this isn't the case.
We recommend introducing a mixture of grass lengths!🌱🌾

The wonderful @RebelBotanists, fostering plant awareness in Plymouth.
The @RebelBotanists were on campus today highlighting some of the wildflowers growing on campus.
Keep your eyes open for their chalk writing on the ground, identifying the plant species they discovered.
