The State Leadership Initiative is proud to present The State DOGE Playbook—a practical blueprint for bringing the proven efficiency, accountability, and results of Florida’s DOGE initiative and other like-minded efforts to every state that is serious about reforming government and delivering for its citizens. SLI was honored to play a small supporting role in Florida DOGE’s efforts. We saw firsthand how a focused, first-principles team—armed with the right authority, data access, and relentless execution—can cut waste, expose fraud, and restore control to elected leaders. This document exists to carry that winning blueprint forward. It equips governors, legislators, and reform-minded executives with the exact legal vehicles, team structures, analytical methods, and implementation steps needed to stand up their own state DOGE and achieve similar victories. At SLI, our mission is simple and uncompromising: we evangelize and actively support the implementation of serious, structural government reforms that dismantle the administrative state, eliminate sacred cows, and put quality governance back in the driver’s seat. State-level DOGE efforts are proof that when conservatives stop managing decline and start executing with boldness, real transformation follows. We built this playbook for you. Use it. Adapt it. Win with it.

Texans are being taxed out of their homes while the state collected a 24 billion dollar surplus last year. How about we cut taxes, spending, and the bureaucracy down and deliver on real conservative governance.
Could Texas Homeowners Save Nearly $600 A Year On Property Taxes? A proposal to raise the general school district homestead exemption to $200,000 could bring additional relief, while nearly 1.45 million qualifying senior and disabled homeowners already pay no school district property taxes.

Three red states. Read their own documents. Texas built its school counseling curriculum around student competencies "identified in the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model." Florida requires counselors to "demonstrate knowledge of the components of ASCA National Model." Indiana's Department of Education worked with ASCA's representatives to update the Indiana Comprehensive School Counseling Model. A red state doesn't protect your kid. The counselor's office still runs on ASCA's playbook. Acid test: Have you ever asked your school which framework your child's counselor follows? Will you ask this week? @Jenn_McW

Texas is going to have air taxis before California lays down a single track of HSR.

Deindustrialization was a policy choice and the ramifications are an energy drought. Cut the red tape, build refineries, build power plants, built factories, build startups.

A positive vision is one that has MORE airports, MORE planes, where flying is so affordable every middle class family could do it as a hobby.

Red State Universities are the worst in the country. Shameful and the incoming class of governors should fix.
How bad is administrative bloat in higher ed? At MIT, the “student body has grown by 8% and its faculty by 9% since the mid-1980s. By comparison, the tally of administrators jumped by 189%.”

Casual reminder that this type of litigation is why Texas has more solar power than any other blue state in the country. When you make it easier to build, things just happen.
California hasn't built its bullet train because the state has required 130,000 pages of environmental reports, making absurd demands like: • counting bumblebees one by one • rebuilding woodrat stick huts • hiring specialized dogs to sniff lizard scat

Some of the deadliest cities in America are in Red states. This isn’t the fault of the state government but the local blue city governments and their radical pro crime policy. The answer is receivership.

Florida's DOGE team proved that these complaints are lies. Local governments in Florida were using EMS funds to pay for green new deal initiatives and pride events. They want to keep they're wasteful spending like "holograms" of mayors at airports while jacking up YOUR property taxes.
Gov. Ron DeSantis and Miami-Dade leaders are calling out local governments for “fear-mongering” over Amendment 3, arguing cities can cut property taxes without sacrificing essential public services @Sheriff_Rosie: “My message on Amendment 3 has been consistent: tax relief and public safety are not competing priorities." flvoicenews.com/desantis-mia…

Indiana is the beacon of American industry. 26% of Indiana's GDP is manufacturing. HIGHEST in the nation. Now they're getting nuclear power that will be TOO CHEAP TO METER to power these American jobs!
Indiana has never had a nuclear power plant. This week it got two proposals. Amazon, AEP and X-energy want to build a 960 MW plant on the site of an old coal plant in Sullivan County. And the state signed on to explore a second one with up to 6 GW. Coal country, going nuclear. 🇺🇸

This is the type of endless red tape people assume Red states don’t have but in reality are shackled by.
The $1.8 million art piece at the Austin Airport ( "uplifted ground" ) might be demolished by Airport renovation The artist's foundation is offering to move it at no cost, but city has not made a decision yet, there might be some FAA regulations about moving art purchased for the airport away from the airport

Fox reports 40+ defendants are expected to face charges in an alleged $40M SNAP fraud scheme. Taxpayers deserve stronger safeguards, earlier detection and accountability for every dollar. Preventing fraud must be a basic responsibility of government. foxnews.com/politics/vance-l…
