šØ Sergej JakiroviÄ on his altercation with the referee at full-time after Hull Cityās 1ā0 defeat to Arsenal:
šļø Interviewer: āSergej, we saw you confronting the referee after the final whistle. What made you so angry?
Sergej JakiroviÄ: āBecause some decisions today were simply difficult to understand. Iām not asking anyone to give Hull City special treatment, but Iām asking for fairness. We deserve the same respect as every other club in this league. Just because weāre newly promoted doesnāt mean we should keep our mouths shut when decisions go against us.
Interviewer: āDo you feel your team was treated differently today?
Sergej JakiroviÄ: āI donāt want to make accusations, but people need to look at those decisions again. Imagine if those same incidents happened at the other end. Would the reaction have been the same? Thatās the question people should be asking.
Interviewer: āDespite the defeat, your team restricted Arsenal to just one goal at the Emirates. Are you proud of that performance?
Sergej JakiroviÄ: āAbsolutely. Look at the difference in resources, experience and expectations between these clubs. Weāre newly promoted, weāre still building, but my players went out there and fought for every ball. Arsenal couldnāt simply walk over us. We conceded once, not five times. My players deserve credit for that.
Interviewer: āWhat did you tell your players after the match?
Sergej JakiroviÄ: āI told them to keep their heads up. We didnāt come here to admire Arsenal or collect their shirts. We came here to compete. We may not have their budget or their squad, but we have pride. And nobody is taking that away from us.
Interviewer: āDo you have a final message for the officials?
Sergej JakiroviÄ: āApply the rules equally. Donāt judge a newly promoted club differently from a title contender. We can accept defeat, but we will never accept being treated as though our voices donāt matter.

šØ Danny Murphy fumes over the controversial Arsenal penalty decision after Kai Havertz was pulled by his shirt:
šļø Interviewer: āDanny, what was your reaction to the penalty incident involving Kai Havertz?
Danny Murphy: The shirt pull was there. Havertz was pulled, he went down, and the referee initially looked ready to award the penalty. Then VAR gets involved, checks the incident and suddenly the decision changes because Havertz was offside. Fine, the offside matters but letās not pretend the shirt pull didnāt happen.
Interviewer: āBut Liverpool fans are pointing to what happened with Alexander Isak at Anfield last week. Is there a comparison?
Danny Murphy: āAbsolutely! Timber pulled Isakās shirt, and Liverpool werenāt given a penalty. From what we saw, VAR didnāt even properly intervene. Now Arsenal are involved, thereās a shirt pull, the referee is ready to point to the spot and Michael Oliver is operating VAR. Suddenly thereās all this attention!
Interviewer: āAre you suggesting thereās one set of rules for Arsenal and another for Liverpool?
Danny Murphy: Iām saying supporters have every right to question the consistency. You cannot ignore one incident and then spend all that time examining another similar one. If itās a foul, itās a foul. The badge on the shirt shouldnāt change how officials apply the rules.
Interviewer: āLiverpool fans believe the league is desperate to help Arsenal win the title. Is that becoming a problem?
Danny Murphy: āI wouldnāt accuse anyone of deliberately handing Arsenal the league without evidence. But the standard of officiating is making those suspicions louder. The Premier League cannot keep serving up decisions like this and expect supporters to trust the process. Itās becoming embarrassing!
Interviewer: āWhatās your message to the officials?
Danny Murphy: Stop making the game about yourselves. Apply the same standards to everybody. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City nobody should get special treatment. Football fans arenāt stupid. They see the inconsistencies!

Back to back defeats might be enough to discourage some fans, but I refuse to lose faith in this team.
I still believe in this squad, and I trust Iraolaās football. Every team goes through difficult moments, but what matters most is how we respond. Iām confident the players will learn from their mistakes, stay positive and come back stronger.
Crystal Palace on Sunday should be the perfect opportunity to bounce back and return to winning ways. We cannot afford another disappointing result, and I expect the boys to show hunger, determination and character from the first whistle.
Iām already looking forward to Sunday. Nothing but three points will satisfy me.

šØ Andoni Iraola fires back at PGMOL over the controversial decisions going against Liverpool this season:
šļø Interviewer: āThis is becoming a recurring frustration for Liverpool. First the Gravenberch dismissal against Manchester City, now the penalty incident involving Alexander Isak against Arsenal. What is your reaction?
Andoni Iraola: āHonestly, I am getting tired of having the same conversation after important games. Against City, we lost Ryan after a decision I still strongly disagreed with. Against Arsenal, Alex was clearly being held in the box. He wanted to stay on his feet and play football, but apparently that wasnāt enough to earn a penalty. What message are we sending to players?ā
Interviewer: āDo you feel Liverpool are being treated unfairly by officials?
Iraola: āI am not asking referees to favour Liverpool. I am asking them to apply the rules consistently. If something is a foul in one game, it should be a foul in another. You cannot have decisions changing depending on the shirt someone is wearing. That is how you destroy trust in the officiating.ā
Interviewer: āWould an apology from PGMOL make any difference?
Iraola: āNo! Absolutely not. What does an apology give us? Three points? Does it change the result? Does it give our supporters their afternoon back? No. We can receive an explanation days later, but the damage has already been done. People move on, the officials move on, but the club that loses the game has to live with it.ā
Interviewer: āSome supporters are beginning to question the integrity of Premier League officiating. Do you understand their anger?
Iraola: āI understand why people are angry. When decisions repeatedly become the biggest talking point after matches, something is wrong. I am not going to accuse anyone of corruption without evidence, but the standard has to be questioned. Football cannot become a game where players are afraid to stay on their feet because they believe they wonāt get a decision unless they fall.ā
Interviewer: āDoes this make the fight for results even more difficult?
Iraola: āWe have to be better ourselves. I will never allow my players to use referees as an excuse for everything. But I will also never sit here and pretend these decisions donāt matter. Liverpool deserve consistency, our supporters deserve fairness, and every club in this league deserves the same standard. We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for the rules to be respected.ā

šØ Erling Haaland on his conversation with Elliot Anderson after his late assist secured Manchester Cityās dramatic 3ā2 win over RB Leipzig:
šļø Interviewer: āErling, what a result! City havenāt been winning games as comfortably as weāre used to seeing, but youāve come away with a massive 3ā2 victory. What did you tell Elliot Anderson after his assist for the winner?
Erling Haaland:
āI told him, āElliot, where have you been hiding that pass?ā Honestly, it was brilliant. The moment I saw him pick up the ball, I knew I had to make my run. He found me perfectly, and I just had to do what I do best.
āBut I also told him that he has to keep looking for me like that. I donāt want him passing backwards when Iām making those runs! Give me the ball and let me deal with the rest.
āJokes aside, heās a fantastic player. Sometimes people forget how difficult it is to come into a team like Manchester City and make an impact. He showed personality tonight, and that assist was worth every bit of praise heās going to receive.
Interviewer: āHow important was this win considering Cityās recent struggles?
Erling Haaland:
āVery important. Letās be honest, we havenāt been at our best recently. Weāve dropped points, made things difficult for ourselves and had games where weāve looked nothing like the City people expect.
āTonight wasnāt perfect either. Conceding three would have been a disaster, but we showed character to keep fighting and get the winner.
āPeople are quick to say City are finished whenever we have a difficult period. Thatās football. One week youāre unstoppable, the next week everyone has an opinion about your problems.
āBut listen, weāre still here. We know what weāre capable of, and if Elliot keeps supplying those passes, I promise you Iāll keep scoring.ā
Interviewer: āSo should Anderson expect more goals from you?
Erling Haaland:
āAbsolutely. But he should also expect me to ask for that same pass every single game now. Heās created a problem for himself!ā

Facing FenerbahƧe away from home tonight wonāt be easy, but I have so much confidence in this Liverpool team.
That defeat against Arsenal, especially with how we were robbed, shouldnāt affect our confidence or energy going into this game.
We need to go into their stadium, control possession, press them aggressively and take our chances. We simply cannot afford to waste clear opportunities tonight because that could cost us the game.
I want to see hunger, intensity and determination from the first whistle to the last. Letās put that Arsenal disappointment behind us and get the job done.
Come on Reds.

šØ Andoni Iraola reveals why he chose Liverpool over Manchester United despite serious interest from Old Trafford:
šļø Interviewer: āAndoni, Manchester United were interested in bringing you to Old Trafford. They needed a manager with your philosophy, but you chose Liverpool. Why?ā
Andoni Iraola:
āI have enormous respect for Manchester United. Theyāre a historic club, and I understand why they wanted me. But I also understood the situation they were in. They needed someone to come in and fix so many things, rebuild confidence and convince everyone that the club was moving in the right direction.
āBut Liverpool was different for me. I wasnāt simply looking for a big job or the biggest salary. I wanted a club whose identity matched the football I believe in. When Liverpool became a possibility, I knew where I wanted to be.
āIāll be honest, I wasnāt going to rush into another decision just because Manchester United came calling. I knew what I wanted, and I was prepared to wait for the right opportunity.
Interviewer: āSo Liverpool was always your preferred destination?ā
Iraola:
āYes. At Liverpool, youāre not just taking over a football team. Youāre taking responsibility for a club with an identity, expectations and supporters who demand everything from you.
āI didnāt come here because Liverpool needed saving more than Manchester United. I came because I believed this was the place where I could build something special and compete for the biggest trophies.
āSome clubs offer you a chance to rebuild their reputation. Liverpool offers you the chance to make history. For me, that difference mattered.ā
