For nearly 12 years, Saudi Arabia has used American-made weapons to wage a devastating war against Yemen, killing thousands of innocent civilians. This is not propaganda. These are well-documented facts, investigated by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the United Nations. American bombs have struck Yemeni markets, homes, schools, and funerals. Entire families have been wiped out. Saudi Arabia carries out the bombing, while Washington supplies the weapons. The blood of innocent Yemenis is on both their hands. These crimes must never be forgotten, and those responsible must be held accountable. 🇾🇪💔
In 2016 Saudi led coalition bombed a market in the village of Mastaba killing at least 97 civilians In 2026 Saudi bombed two markets in less than a month killing at least 50 people. Both massacres committed using US-supplied bombs. #SaudiCrimesInYemen

The Yemeni boy emerging from the rubble after the second Saudi airstrike in a double-tap attack shouldn't have to be this brave, but he is. Saudi Arabia may escape international law, but it won't escape God's wrath, as he says. And it certainly won't escape Yemen's.

What the "liberal democrats" don't say: We have adopted the aggressive warmongers' stance on Ukraine and Iran, consistently support Israel's genocide, have always supported austerity and are increasingly happy to support the racist policies of the far right
Simon Schama is bang on the money in today’s FT: liberal democracy is back in business. Trumpism in the US, Orban in Hungary, Vučić in Serbia have all been swept aside. In Israel, nearly 60 per cent of voters repudiated Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

This is an accurate summary of US imperialism's strategy.
General Keith Kellogg (2023) argued that using Ukrainians to fight Russia is “the acme of professionalism” as it “takes a strategic adversary off the table” without “using any US troops". This enables the US to focus its resources on China as its primary adversary.

In the twentieth century it was undoubtedly true the Russian Revolution was regarded as its greatest event, leading among other matters to the defeat of both the Nazis and the Japanese militarist fascists. But in the twenty-first century the Chinese Revolution will take 1st place.
–E.H. Carr

What were the differences between the Soviet and Chinese socialist "economic models", is China's socialist economic structure a step towards or a step away from Marx, why did the USSR in 1929 create the type of economic structure it did, was it correct to do so, and how does China's economy since its economic reforms in 1978 differ from it? These are some of the issues I discuss with Michael Hudson in this video. As these are absolutely fundamental issues for socialists I hope you will be interested youtube.com/watch?v=Kqf1X3ry…

"Without a doubt, this was one of the most heroic acts of internationalism in history. Cuba freed the world from apartheid".

Congratulations Ilhan Omar. Federal agents raided her home on 12 October. Trump’s border chief talked of stripping her citizenship. Three weeks later Minneapolis re-elected her with an even bigger share of the vote, 76%. Trump tried to silence her. Her voters answered.

The BBC introduces an item on governnent debt interest rates with the assertion that the "NEETs problem is massive and out of control." Both completely untrue. But the ruling class has decided that young will be among those who have to pay for the war drive.
There are 981,000 NEETs, and falling. This is well below the long-term average. The *target* is 14,000 apprenticeships. So 26,000+ will be unpaid work experience. Why are some unions OK with exploiting young people like this, and with no wider exonomic benefits?

Interesting from YouGov. LAB voters are evenly split on the new immigration rules, 41% support and 41% oppose. But we know that the opposition is strongly held (as it was under Starmer), which can lead to supporters switching votes or staying home - up to half of current LAB voters.
