A big thank you to proprietor Katy Jane Seaton for hosting us! Great to have Terry County Republican Chairman Eric Horton, Dan Jackson with Texas Cotton Ginners’ Trust, and Mason Moreland with Femforage Winery join us as well!

The future is bright with Rep. @FairlyForTexas in the Texas House. Caroline came to Austin to get things done, and that’s exactly what she did. The Panhandle has a strong voice in the Texas House. #txlege

Texas is home to more veterans than any other state, and we’re making sure it’s easier for them to reach the benefits they have earned.
As a result of bipartisan legislation passed last session, the Texas Veterans Commission launched Texas Veterans Access, a new online portal where veterans, transitioning service members, and military families can create one profile, request help from TVC programs, and track their request from start to finish.
The first phase includes health care advocacy, the Women Veterans Program, veteran entrepreneur support, and veterans mental health services. Education, grants, claims, and employment services will be added in 2027 and 2028.
Thank you to Chairman @ColeHefnerTX for championing the bill that made this a reality for our veterans and their families.

Great evening in Corpus Christi with @DeniseForTexas!
Denise had an outstanding freshman session and has quickly proven herself to be a strong advocate for the people of HD 34 and the Coastal Bend.
It was great to be joined by Chairman @toddahunter, who has spent decades serving Corpus Christi and remains an important voice for this community in the Texas House.
The Coastal Bend is well represented in Austin by Rep. Villalobos and Chairman Hunter. We’re excited to be back in Corpus with the Speaker’s Strike Force during early voting and stand alongside two strong voices for this region. #OnePartyOneMission #txlege

I am saddened by the passing of my friend and former colleague Garnet Coleman. A passionate advocate for the Houston community, a champion for the underserved, and above all, a great man. That is how I will remember Garnet. Please join Elisabeth and me in praying for his family, friends and loved ones, and all those whose lives he touched.
Garnet’s service in the Texas House began long before I entered the chamber, but I had the privilege of serving alongside him from my freshman year until his retirement. As a new member of the House, I looked to longtime public servants like Garnet to understand how to get things done for the people who sent us to Austin. It didn’t take long to see his compassion, courage and deep commitment to the community he served.
Throughout his decades of public service, Garnet worked to expand access to healthcare and mental health resources for Texas children and families. He was a champion of the University of Houston, helping secure important investments in its students, programs and facilities, while also working to expand economic opportunity in his community. Through it all, his work reflected a belief that government should serve everyone, especially those too often overlooked.
Garnet’s life of service and his commitment to improving the lives of others leave a lasting legacy in Houston and across Texas. I’m grateful to have known him and served alongside him, and I will always remember the example he set through his devotion to his community and the people of our state.

An unexpected weather-related flight diversion gave us the chance to stop by another great event in Lubbock with Rep. @CarlTepper.
Always good to spend time with West Texas conservatives, including @RepArrington and @SellForTexas19, who are working hard to keep this region and our state strong.
Glad we could make the most of the night. #txlege
