Walnut Creek lost its spirit!
@WalnutCreekGov
We came to WC on Saturday morning to have a nice breakfast at Main Street Kitchen & Bar. It was great as always.
It's unfortunate that the experience was spoiled by an overzealous parking maid. We parked on Cypress in front of La Soie. The space in front of us was partially blocked by a WC city truck. Since we have a small sedan we tucked in the spot behind sticking out about 1.5 feet. We did not obstruct the entrance or the view out of the small alley to the back of us. We paid the parking meter and went to have breakfast. When we came back we had a ticket for parking into a red curb.
I have a question for you @WalnutCreekGov. Is this how you want people and patrons of businesses to perceive the city? Did my parking 1.5 feet into the red curb at 10:21 a.m. really cause such an infraction that it deserved a citation. Of course, by the letter of the law it did. My question is, IS THIS THE SPIRIT that WALNUT CREEK is embodying now?
