The #Cavs know what their stars can do. But they keep forgetting about their X-factor.
Jarrett Allen does the dirty work, connects the offense and anchors the defense. Cleveland can’t take that for granted if they want a real shot at a championship.

The Nets had to foul to stop the clock and prevent the Cavs from dribbling it out, but their two best shooters committed the fouls on back-to-back possessions ... each picking up their sixth foul. Cleveland leads 125-121 with 5.2 seconds left.

Instead of going with Jaylon Tyson in place of Watson, Kenny Atkinson is going with Sam Merrill to close the game.

Peyton Watson just fouled out on a moving screen in the backcourt with Cleveland up just four on the Nets. The Cavs were up by as many as 22 in this game. There's 26.4 second left.

Only Game 2, but notable that Tyrese Proctor is getting his second stint of action before Craig Porter Jr. and prior to Meleek Thomas checking into the game at all.

Speaking of Gary Harris, before he signed D’Angelo to EMI Records, he signed Color Me Badd to Giant. While Gary was proud of this massive hit, he was so much prouder to discover and nurture D’Angelo, a true musical genius, who reflected Gary’s soul and sophisticated taste.

The Cavs are beating up Michael Porter Jr. early. He's had Craig Porter Jr. jump on him and now James Harden just hit him in the face on a drive.

Jarrett Allen might have the best 3-point celebration in the league. We'll have to see how many times he'll get to use it this season.

Catch the passionate takes and reactions on YouTube, as the guys delve into the #Cavs' response to losing out on the LeBron James sweepstakes and why Cleveland's Game 1 loss reinforces lingering doubts about the Cavaliers' true championship potential.

Kenny Atkinson said the #Cavs would face adversity this season. Maybe he didn't expect it to look like blowing a 29-point lead in Game 1.
One loss doesn't define this team. How Cleveland responds, especially over its next 12 games, could tell us a lot. #LetEmKnow

The #Cavs came into the 2026-27 season with doubters galore. Cleveland's season-opening collapse against the Sixers may have validated those thoughts after four seasons of questions, giving the naysayers more ammunition than ever. #letemknow

If the #Cavs want to be a top-5 offense, their 3-point shooting must be near the top of the league, or they must involve the bigs more consistently.
Cleveland is shooting 6-for-24 from deep and Mobley & Allen have combined for 3 points in the second half. Not an ideal recipe.

Bump?
Once again, a member of the #Cavs organization mentioned their toughness, which they need to improve to take the next step.
This time, it was president of basketball operations Koby Altman.
“There’s a mental toughness piece we need to overcome.”

Teams were 65-0 when leading by 20+ points at halftime of a season opener in the shot-clock era (1954-55).
The #Cavs just became the first to blow that record, falling to 65-1 after surrendering a 24-point halftime lead.
As much as things change, maybe some things never do.

Where has the competitive fire gone for the #Cavs?
VJ Edgecombe has shown emotion. Tyrese Maxey isn't backing down. Joel Embiid is celebrating after and-1s. LeBron James is resting as Philly extends their lead.
Someone on Cleveland has to light a spark to shift momentum.

Mario Hezonja just told the #Cavs to clear out and backed down Anfernee Simons from beyond the 3-point line to near the paint for the bank middie.
Is it just me or did Kenny Atkinson take too long putting him (and some of the other role players) back in for the second half?
