this new case design is seriously where i am headed to for future controllers. Cleaner, with less parts to deal with, it would make injection molding an easier process as well.
Been thinking about creating a new brand logo/image, the one in my profile pic was drawn awhile back, and i think it's about time to draw another one....
gonna do something easy to remember, easy to print and professional (hopefully)
The acrylic art panel came in, but i have 2 panels right now with the same artwork and layout...
i have no idea what to do with the other
new MOA keycaps arrived!
the round edges of the keycaps + recessed switch plate sort of makes sliding on mx switches possible without the switches flying off.
Lighter switches and finger gloves could improve execution, but it shall be something to test further.
Finally got a small batch of my buttons manufactured in a factory from Guangdong, more updates at the end of October.
If all goes well, I'm hoping to sell them at EVO SG
there's a new button out there that i don't think anyone else is talking about. It's a pretty infamous brand, but they seem to be going for a redemption arc with how they describe the buttons to be... Might include them in my new build.

im a small builder but should i be concerned how much i sell my stuff for?
Been seeing a lot of negative comments lately about how fightstick builders are charging too much for custom builds, so I wanted to break down the numbers a little.
If you were to build a typical custom fightstick yourself in the US in 2026 (joystick + 14 buttons), you're probably looking at around $500+ in parts alone. Having someone build it for you adds another $100 or so for labor and shipping.
I can't speak for every builder, but my average custom build quotes usually land around $650 shipped. And that's typically for builds with more buttons, significantly more customization, and a lot of design work beyond what you'd get with a standard build.
The margins are honestly pretty thin, and most of us are doing this because we genuinely love the art, the community, and the process of making these things.
In reality there's a lot of time, material, design, and labor that goes into each build. Hopefully this gives a little more context to what actually goes into the price.
milmax hotswap socket arrived, had to try it out with the silent square switches i had.
I think it's working really well, though the internal shaft might take some care/carefulness to fabricate...
my confidence in my buttons is about 80%, i might just bite the bullet and send it for injection molding once i hit 95%!
im currently forcing myself to play in such a way where im most flawed, and it's pretty humbling to fight people at 1600~1700 to realise how much i actually lack and suck at fighting games
i'm just afraid that if i keep this up i eventually lose my APAWness and lose more...
