There's a strong argument to be made that the team's greatest enemy was never actually Doctor Doom or Galactus, but rather Fox's desperate corporate strategy to hold onto the movie rights just to keep them out of Disney's hands. For years, the studio rushed out low-effort scripts and forced reboots purely to prevent the IP from reverting back to Marvel Studios, which completely poisoned audience goodwill. And we fans were exhausted by rushed origin stories, repetitive cosmic storms, and lifeless CGI villains long before the MCU even got a chance to take a crack at them.
