Relief Riders India

#ReliefRiders began the week by donating 15 bicycles to select school kids from Vivekananda Rural School. Bicycle Councillor Capt. @AshaRajdev from Ward 111 took the lead in crowdfunding this effort and worked with Rotary Heath City to make this donation happen. #cycles #Donation

With the unlock coming into play, here is a summary of what we have accomplished. 841 sorties, covering 12817 Kms, and saving 3204 Kgs of CO2 emissions. This is the equivalent of what 146 trees absorb in one year. #cycleforthecause #reliefridersbangalore #lockdownupdate

On #WorldBicycleDay we hosted our first town halls on the #ClubHouse app. The discussion was themed around #PedalForLife with the broader agenda of getting to know each other from the #ReliefRider community. @tweetenator, @bicyclemayorblr shares the exp.: tinyurl.com/4mkmyvv9

Thank you @F2newdelhi

A few of our Relief Riders talking about what they walk away with after each sortie, and why they do what they do. fb.watch/5UDmdHjr3t/ All Riders, join us on Clubhouse at 8PM today for a fun catch up to exchange our experiences - bit.ly/3z9Qtwe

We went big for #WorldBicycleDay and got some important people like @rickykej, Prem Kumar, Shreya Gadepalli, Shri Kunal Kumar, AND @Leszek33 acknowledging and *gasp* appreciating what the #ReliefRidersIndia do. Check out the video - bit.ly/3ie7PBX @tweetenator

On this World Bicycle Day, we want to pause to acknowledge, appreciate and thank every single rider that has ever helped people and carried stuff on their bicycle. Post an image of you with your bicycle and tag us with the hashtag #PedalForLife.

We’re a group of cyclists before anything else & unsurprisingly, we are quite excited for the upcoming #WorldBicycleDay! We have plenty planned for you for the day, and just Can. Not. Wait. Watch out for this space! #ReliefRiders #ReliefRidersIndia #Cycling #bicycle

A home with 3 people aged 85 - 95. With the only caretaker confined to the first floor due to testing positive, the elderlies were left with no aid. Led to a long term relationship with frequent medicine drop offs, check in calls, and ofcourse, the occasional diaper runs.

Today Relief Riders delivered 17 ration supplies to 17 needy families in Hubballi-Dharwad, in association with Help the Needy Org. We have 15 more ration supplies planned for tomorrow and more in the days to come #cycleforthecause #reliefridersindia #cycleforacause #reliefriders

After picking up the items requested by a daughter, for her hospitalised father, she headed to the hospital where the delivery was to be made. On reaching there, she was asked to wait for the person in charge to pick up the items. #ReliefRiders #reliefridersindia #COVID19

We delivered medicines requested by his cousin who keeps an eye out for him while he stays at an old age home. A week later, the same sortie was made by two different riders. And both of them asked about the riders from the first sortie, by name, and their wellbeing! #kindness

Three riders left their homes at 7:30 AM and delivered the items by 8:30 to a very happy woman. It’s a tiny window into the lives of the requestors, and we couldn’t help but smile while we picked the lady’s beloved Shamanti flowers. #reliefriders #reliefridersindia

A huge thanks to @hindustandtimes for recognising our effort and helping get the word out there, to those that could really use the help. The words of assurance from those we have been able to help until now, is a strong reminder to keep going. #FightCovid #ReliefRiders

"Definitely felt something with this sortie; hurrying to get COVID medicines for a lady who was rushed to the ICU, and was in dire need of the meds. I had medicines worth fifteen thousand in my backpack. . P.S. The meds went in dry, got drenched on the way home." -@mrzaikadelik

The Relief Riders want to help you in every way we can, but there are some problems we just can’t solve so we concentrate our efforts on the ones we can. Spread the word to those you think need the help, and join the force if you can #CovidSupport #fightcorona #cycleforthecause
