So, since conservative ideology is a nuisance at best in today’s populist GOP, I guess we can expect Trump to endorse Fetterman in 2028 GOP primary, clearing the field and trying to elect an R severely to the left of Romney and Murkowski (voting record matters).
Indiana, UCLA, Kentucky, Duke; all having great starts to the FOOTBALL season…Republican politics not the only thing upside-down today
It is not “hard” to define socialism. It is govt giving out $$, redistributing wealth, controlling the means of production, etc; things R’s used to oppose. True conservatives are now the RINO’s in today’s Republican Party.
Daylight savings time? Seriously? That is what we are focused on now? People aren’t gonna like it being dark till 8am if this becomes law. It is far from a consensus. Here’s a thought instead—JUST CUT SPENDING!!!!
Look for the next Democrat president (hopefully, against the odds, not in 2029) to ban entities such as FNC, Newsmax & Washington Times from covering the WH…precedents being set
Maybe rethink the plan to infuse over a trillion $$ in additional inflationary spending with the $5K socialist vote-buying scheme, which will undoubtedly drive interest rates even higher?
Here’s a thought for Trump & Republicans in DC: Maybe we could try addressing the cause of the persistently high interest rates & stubborn affordability crisis—just cut spending!
It only takes $400 per month in higher inflationary costs to consume in 1 year the “benefits” of a $5K stimulus check. And the consequences of the extra debt created by the stimulus are layered upon the effects of previous bad fiscal policy.
Trump proposes to give out more stimulus $$ than he & Biden did during COVID, which caused the current inflation, high interest rates & affordability crisis. This while the debt today is $40T, compared the $27T it was at the start of COVID.
One year later, the Republican Party is suffering terribly from the loss of Charlie Kirk’s influence and principled conservative voice.
Sadly, most “conservatives” don’t even know (or care) that the president doesn’t have the constitutional authority to spend $$, or send out “dividend” checks without Congress. But he said last night “only I can do it.”
Will post-conservative Republicans also try to defend Trump’s $5K “dividend” socialist vote-buying scheme that would cost nearly $1 trillion?
