I voted against the Graham bill because it gave Trump too much power to sidestep sanctions against Russia. This weekend he did exactly that. Trump is betraying our country AND our allies.

When the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 came before the Rules Committee, I offered Rep. Meeks’s amendment to block President Trump from waiving Russian sanctions. My Republican colleagues voted against it. On Friday, President Trump did exactly that: issuing an EO that exempts Russia from the new sanctions passed by Congress last month, a dangerous decision that puts our allies at risk.

48 million Americans, including 1 in 5 children, experience food insecurity. This is not an inevitability; it is a policy choice. Nutritious food is key to a healthy life, but Trump and Republicans have ripped food assistance from hungry families. No one should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. House Democrats are working to restore food assistance to the millions of Americans who had it ripped away by Republicans’ cruel cuts.

Everyone deserves to feel safe while they practice their faith. That is foundational to the Freedom of Worship. The scourge of hatred in our country, including against our Hindu and Indian-American neighbors, MUST be addressed if we are to live in a free society. The rise in hatred against those who are not white is anti-American. It is reminiscent of the days of Jim Crow and the KKK and has been fomented by Donald Trump and his goons in the White House.
My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who helped prevent a tragedy, but we must come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.

The Trump Administration and its goons in ICE have spent the last year attacking @RepLaMonica. Now they’re abusing their power to go after Congresswoman @Ilhan. The use of federal law enforcement against a sitting member of Congress on the eve of an election is unprecedented and unacceptable. It is no accident that this raid comes three weeks before an election where Rep. Omar is on the ballot. This is part of the fascist playbook to rile up his supporters in advance of the midterms and it comes just days after he encouraged violence against residents of Minnesota.
BREAKING: Rep. Ilhan Omar's Washington, D.C.-area residence was searched early Monday, the Department of Justice said, as part of a criminal investigation. Sources tell ABC News that the investigation relates to Omar’s immigration paperwork. Read more: abcnews.link/8iqUau0

Trump & Hegseth aren't just proposing to livestream an execution for people who want to watch. They're proposing to broadcast a man being shot to death, even if deserved by our system, and even if you agree with this version of the death penalty, knowing that the footage will be clipped, shared, and pushed into social media feeds. Including those of our children. The gruesome image will be everywhere. Parents will have virtually no control over whether their kids see it. Once those images are released, there is no taking them back. Hope all the parents in the Trump Admin are cool with that.

Tucked into Trump's absurd $1.5 trillion Pentagon request is $54.6 billion drone budget. A 24,000% increase over last year. Who has just happened to have gotten into the drone business recently? Don, Jr. and Eric Trump. I'm sure that's just a coincidence. thehill.com/opinion/national…
