In February, I introduced the Freeze ICE Act to institute a hiring freeze at ICE.
We are learning more each day about why we need to pass it as soon as possible. The hiring of untrained, unvetted, and unaccountable ICE agents makes our communities less safe.

Under the Trump administration's new legal services contracts, unaccompanied children are being detained for extended periods without adequate legal services or enough time to prepare for court proceedings.
I joined @RepLouCorrea to guarantee quality legal representation and humane treatment for these children.
Children deserve to be treated with decency and have strong legal representation in our nation’s immigration courts.
