What I saw today in Newark is a scene I never imagined experiencing in my lifetime. But I refuse to believe today reflects who we are as a country. We must all commit to correcting the course our country is on. Standing side by side, I know we can achieve those better tomorrows - together.
I stand with @CongressmanRaja. We are grateful that the horrific plot targeting a Hindu temple was foiled, but we cannot ignore the hate threatening our neighbors.
I joined more than 100 colleagues in urging the FBI to investigate this as a hate crime. Everyone deserves to live and worship without fear.
I led 105 lawmakers in demanding the FBI investigate the attempted mass shooting at my family’s Hindu temple in Aurora as a potential hate crime.
We must confront the rising tide of anti-Indian hate and the online threats putting our communities at risk.

📍Bayonne Drydock — the largest dry dock in the Northeast!
Proud to help secure nearly $700,000 in federal funding for @BAYONNEDD to support local jobs, upgrade equipment, and strengthen our national security.
This investment helps keep Bayonne a premier hub for repairing and upgrading military and commercial vessels. Grateful to Bayonne Drydock for investing in our workforce and community. 🚢
I stand with our North Bergen students and every neighbor enduring the fear and trauma caused by the Trump Administration’s actions.
I hear your pain, and I want you to know: you are not alone in this fight.
We will never stop fighting to protect our communities and the soul of our nation.

Got a pocket, got a… Socket Full of Sunshine. ☀️🔌
New Jersey families are facing utility bills that rose nearly 17% last year. They need relief now.
That’s why we introduced the Socket Full of Sunshine Act.
The bill would make affordable, plug-in solar panels accessible to more households—while cutting red tape and protecting renters.
Eligible households could receive up to $1,000 in rebates, helping families harness the sun and save hundreds on their electric bills each year.

It was an honor to join @BAPS and so many of our neighbors this past weekend!
Our Indian-American community is a pillar of Hudson County, strengthening our communities through service, faith, and traditions that bring us together.
Grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to share in this special celebration. 🙏🫶
We hosted an election security roundtable with Hudson County officials and @ACLUNJ to strengthen public trust and help ensure the upcoming election runs smoothly and securely.
My key takeaway: Our elections are safe and secure—and every voter should feel confident making their voice heard.
If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to our office. We’re here to help.
Spent the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month at Cortaditos in Union City! ☕️
Grateful to Andres, Adam, and the entire Cortaditos family for bringing people together and uplifting our communities.
When our local businesses thrive, New Jersey thrives. 🫶
ICE was stopping and questioning students on their way to school this morning in North Bergen. This is completely unacceptable and should be condemned by every elected official.
ICE has no business targeting our schools or stopping and questioning our children. Full stop.
If your child was stopped or you need Know Your Rights guidance, please contact our office immediately at (201) 309-0301 or through the “Request Assistance” form at menendez.house.gov.
📍Compass Pathways Grand Opening
Proud to welcome Compass Pathways to @JerseyCity and support their research into new treatments for individuals living with TRD and PTSD.
Everyone deserves hope, support, and a path toward recovery.
Our communities are home to incredible musicians, songwriters, and producers whose creativity enriches our lives and helps drive New Jersey’s economy.
Grateful to host @RecordingAcad for a conversation about protecting creators and ensuring they receive the recognition and fair compensation they deserve.
Following yesterday’s ICE arrest in Jersey City, my team and I have been in contact with the family and pressing authorities for answers. Let’s be clear: ICE’s relentless targeting of our neighbors does nothing to make our communities safer.
I urge every resident to know your rights when interacting with ICE. If you need immediate assistance or help with an immigration issue, contact our office at menendez.house.gov.
We are here to serve you, to stand with our neighbors, and to protect our communities as we will continue fighting to abolish ICE.
More than 55,000 people rely on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail every day to get to work, school, and wherever they need to go.
They deserve reliable, accessible, and efficient public transit that meets the needs of our growing communities.
That’s why we’re teaming up with @HudCoStreets to push for expanded service and a modernized regional transit network.
Earlier today, our Jersey City office temporarily closed after receiving a suspicious package while local authorities responded.
The substance was determined to be non-hazardous, and our office has resumed normal operations.
I am grateful to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office and other first responders for their prompt response and for keeping our staff, office and community safe.
Just a reminder that our career fair has been moved to November 14th.
Please RSVP at the link in our bio and let us know if you have any questions!
Inflation is up. Tariffs are driving prices higher. Families in New Jersey and across the country can’t catch a break.
Republicans’ response? Leave Washington for seven weeks, gaslight their constituents, and try to buy their way into another term.
Families deserve relief. Republicans are focused on keeping power.

Every week, our work on immigration brings moments of hope and moments of heartbreaking injustice.
Each one reminds us what’s at stake: families, futures, and the right to be treated with dignity.
We will never back down from protecting everyone who calls our communities home.
My heart breaks for Silver Rail Elementary and the entire Bend community as they face the unthinkable.
No child should fear for their safety at school. No parent should have to wonder whether their child will come home.
Gun violence is an epidemic we have the power to confront—if elected officials have the courage to act. I have always fought, and will continue to fight, for commonsense gun safety reforms that protect our children and prevent tragedies like this from tearing our communities apart.
Our South Asian neighbors are an essential part of our communities and make our country stronger.
Divisive rhetoric fuels hate and endangers lives. We are grateful that the horrific plot targeting a Hindu temple was foiled, but we must confront the hatred that puts our neighbors at risk.
As a @CAPAC member, I stand with our South Asian communities against bigotry and hate. Everyone deserves to live and worship without fear.
I am horrified that a white supremacist allegedly attempted to massacre Indian Americans at a Hindu temple in Aurora. This is where the poison of anti-Indian hatred and white supremacy can lead, and we cannot wait until innocent people are killed to take it seriously. I am grateful to the coworkers who sounded the alarm and the law enforcement officers who intervened. Every American deserves to live and worship without fear, and we must stand together against hatred in all its forms. dailyherald.com/20261014/cri…
