I enjoyed visiting with employees at Cardinal Health to discuss the priorities that matter to their workforce and suppliers. Cardinal Health plays an important role in getting essential medical products to healthcare providers across the country, and I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from their team.

It was an honor to join the 112th Medical Battalion for the Call to Duty Ceremony of the 684th Medical Company. As a veteran myself, I am especially grateful to the men and women of the 684th for their willingness to serve our country and their dedication to their fellow Americans. Their commitment to duty, service, and sacrifice reflects the very best of our nation. May they carry the support and gratitude of a grateful nation with them as they answer the call.

The devastation from the flooding in Nepal has been heartbreaking. I’ve been working closely with representatives from Nepal and members of the Nepali community to understand what is needed on the ground, and recently sent a letter to the State Department urging additional U.S. support for Nepal and Americans affected by this tragedy. The U.S. has since announced $36 million in funding for recovery, including: •$1 million for forensic support, including DNA analysis kits and FBI specialists helping identify victims. •$10 million for permanent, U.S.-sourced bridges to restore critical transportation infrastructure. •$8 million for clean water, sanitation, shelter, livelihoods, protection, and winterization. •$13 million in U.S.-made drones to strengthen future disaster response and recovery. I’m grateful to the administration for stepping up, and I’ll continue working to ensure Nepal gets the support it needs to recover. Americans in Nepal, or those with loved ones there, can reach the U.S. State Department 24/7 at +1-202-501-4444 for assistance. For more information, please visit: state.gov/responding-to-flas…

It was great to be at The Ohio State University’s Farm Science Review 2026 and see firsthand the work being done through the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Agriculture is a vital part of Ohio’s economy and way of life, and I’m proud to see Ohio State continuing to support the farmers, students, and agricultural leaders who keep our state moving forward.

This week, the Renewing the African American Civil Rights Network Act, which I co-lead with my colleague Rep. Jim Clyburn, passed the Natural Resources Committee by unanimous consent. This bipartisan legislation will help preserve the places and stories that tell the history of the civil rights movement and make sure they’re here for future generations to learn from. I’m proud to see this bill take another step forward, and I look forward to getting it across the finish line.

I was proud to speak on the House floor in recognition of the American and Nepali people who remain missing in the wake of the deadly flooding in Nepal. As co-chair of the Congressional Nepal Caucus, I remain ready to assist the administration in its efforts to rescue American citizens and support Nepal’s recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Today, I was honored to join hundreds of volunteers for the 9/11 Day of Service at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, alongside Mayor Ginther and Commissioner O’Grady, as we packed meals for families across our community through the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor those we lost on September 11 by coming together in service to others. I’m grateful to everyone who gave their time today to keep that spirit of service alive.

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, but the significance of that day has never faded. Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost and honor the bravery of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and everyday Americans who put themselves in harm’s way to help their fellow citizens. We must never allow fear or terror to diminish the freedoms that make our nation the greatest country in the history of the world. On this anniversary, we remember those we lost and remain grateful to the men and women who continue to protect our country. God bless America.
