I filed a resolution today to end emissions testing in Davidson County. The EPA has given Davidson and its surrounding counties the green light to end testing. All counties except Davidson have all decided to end their programs. It's time we do the same.

Today, 101 years ago the 19th amendment was added to the Constitution after Tennessee became the 36th state to vote in favor of women’s right to vote. I am honored to be able to sit in the room where it happened and serve as a Representative.

The vehicle emissions testing requirement is an unnecessary regulation that burdens hardworking TN taxpayers. I'm grateful to the General Assembly for seeing this through & ending this outdated requirement for many Tennesseans. @WilliamLamberth @SenBoWatson @RepMikeCarter

No one cares more about the health & well-being of a child than a parent.
I am signing an EO today that allows parents to opt their children out of a school mask mandate if either a school board or health board enacts one over a district.

We shouldn’t be surprised Tennessee is recognized by @Bankrate as a 2021 best place to retire! We all know it’s a great place for our children to grow, to have a career, and then retire. We also know it doesn’t just magically happen. #LeadershipMatters
To determine the best state to retire in 2021, Bankrate looked at five broad categories: affordability, wellness, culture, weather and crime. Here’s which state took the No. 1 spot.

Senator nicely is one of the most interesting men in TN politics. I had breakfast downstairs with him and he told a joke about a man being down and out and asking Him what he would do and the answer was ‘well when I was In your shoes I picked up papers to run for TN senate.’

Welcome to the #112 Representative Joan Carter! Joan was literally Mike’s right hand. It is good to still have his perspective in the House. I’m looking forward to working with Rep. Carter.
