Today, Rep. Spartz spoke at the Global Nuclear Summit in Indianapolis about the importance of nuclear energy for grid stability and reliability. She challenged industry stakeholders to move away from utopian energy policies that drive up costs and undermine reliability, focus on reducing costs, and ensure large energy users pay the full costs of generation and transmission - not consumers and taxpayers.

Rep. Spartz spoke at the Grant County Planning Commission meeting in support of extending the data center moratorium until stronger state and federal safeguards are in place to close loopholes and protect Hoosiers from rising utility rates. The Commission voted in favor of extending the moratorium on both data centers and battery storage facilities. For too long, costly energy projects have shifted expenses onto Hoosier ratepayers and taxpayers. Those who benefit should pay - not consumers.

Rep. Spartz joined 25 House colleagues in raising concerns with Treasury Secretary Bessent about Big Tech’s attempts to exploit research and development tax credits to subsidize massive data centers. These credits were intended by Congress to encourage genuine innovation, not subsidize routine capital investments. This is a deliberate abuse and misrepresentation of the law by Big Tech to avoid paying taxes. Congress and Treasury must act to stop it. semafor.com/article/10/15/20…

Rep. Spartz joined state and federal agency leaders at IMPA in Carmel and attended AEP’s transmission open house in Fairmount, raising concerns about inadequate utility project oversight, loopholes allowing utilities to shift costs onto consumers, and overly broad eminent domain laws. Spartz noted that IMPA has been more transparent than other power providers. Federal and state agencies must strengthen oversight to protect Hoosier ratepayers and property owners.

This weekend, the Yorktown community came together for a prayer vigil to remember Chris Wilson. At just 17, Chris was a remarkable young man with a bright future ahead of him. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May God comfort them during this heartbreaking time.

Honored to be named Health Care Legislator of the Year by the Indiana Primary Health Care Association. Health care is my #1 priority. I’ll keep fighting for real competition, choice, transparency, and accountability to challenge health care monopolies and lower costs for Hoosiers. spartz.house.gov/media/press…

Rep. Spartz joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers urging FERC to reject BlackRock's proposed AES takeover, raising concerns that unprecedented data-center demand, coupled with related infrastructure investments, could shift costs and risks to Hoosier ratepayers. banking.senate.gov/newsroom/…

More hypocrisy: Senate Democrats blocked legislation protecting consumers from Big Tech and data centers shifting utility costs to consumers. Is the Socialist Marxist Party really against oligopolies—or shielding them while destroying small businesses? Oligarchs are easier to control.
Senate Democrats on Wednesday blocked a GOP-led effort to advance a bill aimed at shielding Americans from energy costs attributed to data centers, despite the bill securing widespread bipartisan support in the House earlier this month. cbsn.ws/46TxXdC

ALL 218 House GOP voted for the Stop Insider Trading Act—only 13 Dems. ALL 53 Senate GOP—0 Dems. Now, Socialist Marxist Party, formerly known as Democrat Party, attacks GOP nationwide for owning anything even before Congress—they want government to own everything, including us.

Marx’s roadmap to communism: free-market capitalism→government-protected concentration (crony capitalism)→ revolutionary political transformation (potentially democratic - democratic socialism)→ socialism/lower communism→higher/full communism→ take a field trip to Ukraine…
Replying to @amanpour @NYCMayor
“It is a sad fact that to find ambition in the Democratic Party, we often have to look to the history books,” Zohran Mamdani tells me. He argues the electoral success of candidates like him “will absolutely translate on a national level” at the midterms… There’s only one majority in this country: it’s the working class.”

The Price Tags Act is an important step forward in fixing health care by bringing real price transparency to patients. The Senate and the House must pass these badly needed reforms into law.
Today, I asked for unanimous consent on the Senate floor to advance our bipartisan Patients Deserve Price Tags Act — which would save families up to $1,000 a month in healthcare costs. With only one senator objecting, we have a real opportunity to advance one of the most common-sense and cost-saving bills before Congress. Patients deserve price tags, not surprise bills.
