It was fun to speak with Cub Scout Pack 321 last evening about America’s 250th. We discussed the Declaration & working to protect everyone's rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Thanks to the pack leaders for the invitation & for leading such an energetic group!

This week, I had the pleasure of presenting a citation to @NA_Schools student Saieesh Kovelakuntla of Franklin Park for winning 2nd place in Division 2 of the statewide @PennDOTNews school bus safety poster contest. Congratulations to Saieesh and his parents on this achievement.

While I was in Harrisburg, my staff attended the ribbon cutting for the Wolfe General Store on Ingomar Rd. at the entrance to North Park. Congratulations to Jason Wolfe on the exciting new development in McCandless. It's a great asset for the community!

Proud to announce with Senator Robinson that @BAHBorough will be receiving $203,200 in state grant funding through the @DCNRnews for improvements to their local park. I will continue to work with bipartisan colleagues to advocate for state support of our community.

October is Manufacturing Month, a time to recognize the significant economic impact of manufacturing. US manufacturing is a vital part of our economy that employs millions of American workers. I'm proud to support the manufacturers and their workers who help drive our prosperity.

Today, the House passed my resolution, HR 648, to recognize January 2027 as National Blood Donor Month in Pennsylvania. It takes just 10 minutes to donate blood, but these 10 minutes can save a life. Learn how to become a blood donor at redcross.org/give-blood.html

This week, we recognized the service of @RepKulik, who is retiring at the end of this term. Rep Kulik, has been a role model for me and the other members of @ACDelegation who were elected during her time in office. Happy retirement, and thank you for your service to Pennsylvania.

This Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day, an opportunity to safely dispose of unused medications. The Ohio Township Police will be offering a drop-off location at the Sam’s Club located at 289 Mt Nebo Pointe Dr. This site will be open from 10 am to 2 pm.

Great to meet with community health workers from our region in the State Capitol. As an ER Doc, I know how important they are for the health and well-being of so many across PA. I'll continue to advocate for legislation to support their efforts to help those in need.

Today we observe Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day, a time to acknowledge the pay gap disabled women experience compared to their able-bodied male counterparts. Let’s support equal pay for disabled women and end systemic discrimination in the workplace.

I joined @paspeech to urge the PA Senate to pass HB 80, my bipartisan bill with Rep. Marcell to authorize PA to enter the Audiology-Speech Language Pathology Interstate Compact. Passed unanimously by the PA House, HB 80 will bring more of these health professionals into PA.

October is Polish Heritage Month, when we honor the culture and contributions of Polish Americans in our community, across PA, and throughout our nation. Thanks to our Polish American neighbors for sharing your vibrant background, culture, and contributions to our country.

I got a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible work being done by Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh, which organizes a free dental & vision clinic at @Pittsburgh_DLCC treating thousands of patients. Thanks to everyone who donated services & funds to make this critical event possible!

Despite the rain, I enjoyed the ribbon cutting for @riverstonepgh new location in McCandless. This bookstore has been a pillar of our local business community and is much beloved by our residents. I wish them well on their new location and thank them for the kind invitation.

The Allegheny County Elections Division will again be hosting a satellite voting location at the North Park Ice Rink. Here you can register to vote, request a mail-in ballot, and even complete and submit it. You can also turn in mail-in ballots completed at home.
