This gem of a stat:
We are 36-2 all time as the AP No. 1 team in the regular season.
The two teams to beat us:
Unranked Auburn in 1942

After enduring five straight losing seasons and 21 years without a win between the hedges, Auburn delivered its most monumental upset in years.

Why is college football better than the NFL?
Me: They’re all smoking cigars on the field in Knoxville and a bunch of trees got rolled in Auburn.
Find me a discernible difference in wins in Cleveland and Indianapolis tomorrow.

NEW: Georgia head coach Kirby Smart reveals a unique NIL incentive for WR London Humphreys:
"He’s got a deal in his NIL incentive, the more special teams he plays, the more money he gets. So he wants to be on special teams. He wants to play every snap on special teams. I keep trying to take him off to save money and it’s not working. … He’s worth it."

Luke Loucks unfiltered on fifth-year eligibility 👀
“Just look around the country. The inconsistencies of what’s going on is wild to me. You’re putting schools that get denied these cases that get approved elsewhere at a complete competitive disadvantage. We’re gonna go against teams that have multiple fifth year guys approved. Louisville is one of them. And I don’t dislike that for Louisville, that’s great for them. But this isn’t that hard. Either all of them are ineligible or they’re all eligible. Even the playing field.”

The Xavier men’s basketball payroll will be a little over $14M for 2026-27.
With no football team, it can all be paid directly by the school.
At an injunction hearing today in Ohio against the NCAA over eligibility, Richard Pitino revealed under oath that Xavier will have $14 million in roster compensation this coming season.
It was reported that the school had $5.5M last year. So, it tripled.
