Personal News: Unfortunately, my blood cancer has progressed to a stage where I require more intensive treatment, namely long-term low dose chemotherapy or a Cancer Growth Blocker of the JAK2 gene. As a result, I may be less active over the coming months whilst I adjust to the side effects. I am part of the MITHRIDATE clinical trial, which will see me receive either the usual 1st line treatment of Hydroxyurea or what can be a 2nd line treatment; Ruxolitinib. The drug is already used for my condition, but the NHS currently won't pay for it until there's more evidence of its effectiveness due to its cost. This is the stage 3 trial to see if it is more effective giving as a 1st treatment. Stages 1 and 2 showed very positive results. It is hoped that whichever treatment I receive will improve my symptoms and blood results after I adjust, as the last few months have seen me become severely impaired to the point I can't get out of bed. The trial is run and supported by @CR_UK, @MPNVoice, @unibirmingham, The French National Cancer Institute (INCa) with @NovartisCancer providing Ruxolitinib free of charge. NHS Highland's amazing Haematology team is looking after me locally.

If the government wants to change the TV license to include YouTube, Netflix & Disney+ etc, that only works if they then distribute said tax to affected companies as they currently do with the BBC. The so-called "YouTube tax" is a complete non-starter & wouldn't work in practice

Russian state TV is still playing U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff's "humanitarian" remarks to President Putin numerous times a day. “You talk so much about my president, President Trump, being a humanitarian..... you are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that.”

We left the EU so now they have absolutely no obligation or need to listen to us on returning asylum seekers. You argued against having to accept some when in the EU, so don't fucking act surprised they called your bluff. We had a very favourable agreement, we lost it. Own it.
If we don’t wake up, the carnage in France is our future. We need to return to law, order, and borders.

How is a UK Prime Minister doing something to protect people from exorbitant parking charges bad? He also has pretty limited sway with the *checks notes* FRENCH.... I get you don't like anyone, but this is a truly weird hill to die on.
Europe is burning! Meanwhile here in the UK 👇👇👇

1/ Here is a print out of some of the Labour "Trigger Me Timbers" WhatsApp group that has seen Health Minister Andrew Gwynne sacked. I wonder if fellow Labour MP Oliver Ryan will still have the whip by the morning?

Thousands of MP's have taken the oath or affirmation on numerous different religious texts or none at all. What's your point Liz? Perhaps your just baiting hate against a woman for no other reason than her choice of dress and religion....
The new Labour MP for Holborn and St Pancras, Sagal Abdi-Wali, was sworn into parliament on Monday wearing the Hijab and taking the oath with the Quran.

False claims circulated on Friday night that asylum seekers were secretly being transported into Plymouth on coaches from HMNB Devonport. They were actually members of the Indian Navy on shore leave during a break in a joint exercises with the Royal Navy. Details of the visit by Indian Naval Ship Trishul, a Stealth Missile Frigate, were shown on HMNB Devonport's social media channels in advance.

The amount of diesel being oh so generously released by Putin 🙃 with is a days worth for the United States. 24 hours worth spread over SIX MONTHS. Putin already has Trump bashing Ukraine. You're a grade A idiot.
President Trump and Putin are releasing 1000 000 tonnes of diesel onto world markets to ease the fuel crisis. Unelected PM Burnham told us to get an App. I think that sums it all up.

Lucy, you’ve rather spectacularly proved my point. You’re correct that permission to appeal isn’t automatic. But your application was refused, and the Court of Appeal’s published judgment is rather more authoritative than either of our opinions. Paragraph 31: The sentencing judge expressly considered your mitigating circumstances, including your previous good character, family circumstances and personal tragedy. Paragraph 64: The appeal judges explicitly rejected the argument that insufficient weight had been given to those mitigating factors. Paragraph 66: The court found no arguable basis for concluding your sentence was manifestly excessive. Three appeal judges. A published judgment. Your mitigation considered. Your challenge rejected. Disagreeing with a judicial decision is your right. Calling the judiciary corrupt because you dislike that decision is not evidence of corruption. You don’t need to take my word for it, Lucy. Read your own judgment. Source judiciary.uk/judgments/lucy-…
I am so sick of twats like this. Tell me again how mitigation was taken into consideration. Tell me again how some tin pot, wannabe journalist knows more than a KC or indeed myself about my case. You know that appeals aren’t just granted right? You know that a judge looks at the application and decides whether you have grounds to appeal. If you people can’t see how corrupt the judiciary is at this point, there is absolutely no hope for you.

How about not shoot toddlers lying in bed sleeping with their parents? (As one senior SAS officer alleges happened) Ten years ago I attended a supreme court hearing where a "lethal catch 22" scenario was discussed, as Mark sets out. Troops in Afghanistan could neither hold enemy fighters for long or hand them over to authorities in case they were tortured. Instead, to abide by the law, commanders were forced to set militants free to potentially 'kill and maim' UK troops. This choice was the reason why MoD lawyers explained some Afghans were detained longer than 96 hours. The court heard that "detaining people was a "lesser alternative to using lethal force against them". It shouldn't be forgotten that the allegations of unlawful killings originated from within special forces themselves. Afghan inquiry chair Haddon-Cave said of the inquiry recently: "This is not about split second decisions taken in the heat of combat, this is not about the fog of war. "This is about whether there was a practice of unlawful killings by British special forces in Afghanistan."
In 2017 I interviewed a soldier who took part in the SAS night raids in Afghanistan. In 2024 I gave evidence to the public inquiry into allegations of Extra Judicial Killings. While I believe those EJKs took place it is essential to understand the strategic context. My book Blades asks the fundamental question ‘what would you have done?’ Because at the time UK govt support for Counter Terrorism operations was non-existent. The human rights of the Taliban were prioritised over the lives of British soldiers. SAS soldiers faced an impossible dilemma. The bombmakers and facilitators operated outside UK ROE and were recycled back onto the battlefield within 96hrs of capture. Yet the IED networks represented the enemy’s most potent threat. Many hundreds of British soldiers and Afghan civilians were being blown up. I am proud that my newspaper the Mail has had the courage to set out these arguments. This is bold journalism. The SAS are not a rogue unit and its soldiers acted rationally and professionally in impossible circumstances. I will debate those points with anyone, anywhere. mol.im/a/16197881

BREAKING: Trump calls for Ukraine to replace President Volodymyr Zelensky as Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries are hurting American farmers. By that logic, the U.S. needs a new President who can make deal with Iran as U.S. strikes caused a global oil & logistics crisis

A man died in a 4 vehicle crash on the A9 near Culbokie yesterday - road closed for 14 hours. The air ambulance is currently at a potential fatal accident on the A9 near Tain - road is closed until further notice.

Why has tne most recent U.S. military death tow inmate been chosen? Why not in order of conviction? Perhaos it's because his faith and Islamist motive are red meat bait for the midterm elections in November. Public executions have no place in ANY modern society. Fascist dictator behaviour.

An ICC judge gets the Nobel Peace Prize and Trump has lost his shit again in a tantrum.
Today, the Trump Administration is sanctioning the ICC. This action should encourage our Allies within the Court to work for solutions to end this threat to U.S. sovereignty forever.

Unless Covid vaccines can time travel, perhaps check the evidence on cancer incidences in young people prior to 2020. In the 20 years prior to Covid-19, cancer in young people rose by 80%. It hasn't jumped in those 6 years either btw.
I’ve just watched a whole BBC documentary about the rapid increase in cancer among the young.. It explored food & lifestyle choices, even body sprays & plastics. Not once tho, did they explore whether getting young healthy people vaccinated over & over with a product that had no long term health data, may have played a role🤔
