At the second of our Archdeaconry explore days, at St Barnabas Erdington, listening to @BishopAnneH encouraging all to know they are included in the Great Commission. Later, we will be exploring all kinds of different callings together.

My 3rd Ascension Day in Birmingham and FINALLY we got to have the “annual” Deanery service. Feeling very blessed by clergy and lay colleagues, fellow pilgrims and the ever marvellous @ChoirEmmanuel.
Sometimes I forget how much you can fit in a Ford Focus… brilliantly generous donation from @pennsprimary for @ErdFoodBank - special shout out to the wonderful school site manager who carried all of it and to everyone who donated.
Got home from the midnight service ten minutes ago. It’s raining so hard I’m still sitting in my car on the drive… what festive joy…
3rd Christmas in Birmingham and tonight I will finally take a Christmas service (long story … includes the word COVID…) very excited to be @StJamesMereG tonight, All Saints Gravelly Hill tomorrow and Emmanuel Wylde Green on Sunday. Making up for lost time!
So happy to be @StJamesMereG this morning at a service marvellously led by Paul and Sandra, the parish’s two Readers. Sandra’s sermon was especially marvellous - what an asset our Readers are to the church.

Because there’s not enough stress in my world right now, the dog has just seen a fox in the garden and is now going completely bonkers…😬😬
So grateful to the team @Preston_Minster, @BpBurnley @dchampy0 and all for their generous welcome@and wisdom today. And the sun shone…
The dog is eating a slobbery biscuit using my iPad as a plate… I just don’t have the spare emotional capacity to challenge him…
When you meet someone in real life for the first time after a year of Zoom meetings and all they keep saying, over and over is ... "I can't believe you're so short..."
It feels a bit, this week, like God wants to remind me (about once every ten minutes) what amazing people he has surrounded me with. So full of thankfulness for all the creativity, generosity and grace from pretty much everyone I’ve seen this week 😊. @cofebirmingham
Today I have a 100% success rate for being in the wrong venue for meetings... lockdown has clearly entirely deskilled me...
Made it through nearly 3 months of pre-recording services on a Saturday and on the final one before a return to “live” worship next week I appear to have forgotten to press record. Imagine my popularity with the organist/singers/reader righty now...
