Saturday's Heroes of the Match were breast cancer survivors and pink warriors, Kathleen Lemieux, Helene Palmer, Kim Molleur Hubert, and Kelley Philbin. These amazing woman were invited out by Miss Pink, a local nonprofit that supports women undergoing treatment through basic medical needs like childcare, cleaning services, meals and more. Thank you, Kathleen, Helene, Kim and Kelley and all of the Miss Pink volunteers and their dedication to supporting and uplifting woman undergoing treatment. #NERevs

Saturday's Hero of the Match was Abby Soares. Abby, the current Ms. Petite USA, is the founder of Superhero Studios Foundation, a nonprofit that provides superhero themed, arts-based programs to kids in need. As a teacher who suffers from long covid paralyzing her stomach, her love for helping kids and the healing she found through the arts led her to start Superhero Studios. Their programs include video production, arts and crafts, literacy, dance, and visits to children's hospitals. Thank you, Abby, for always creating opportunities for kids to express themselves and find what makes them uniquely powerful! #NERevs

Saturday’s Hero of the Match was Franklin Marval. Franklin is a community activist, graphic designer, and muralist from Venezuela whose work celebrates culture, identity, and storytelling. Franklin recently joined Massachusetts United for Venezuela, helping support communities impacted by this year’s earthquakes in Venezuela. The initiative has provided nearly $200,000 in grants for emergency services, children's programs, and healthcare. Thank you, Franklin, for using your art and leadership to inspire others and make a difference. #NERevs

Our most recent Hero of the Match was Regina Bertholdo. Regina is the Co-Founder and Board President of the Brazilian Women's Group, an organization she helped establish alongside Heloisa Galvão in 1995. For more than three decades, they have dedicated themselves to empowering Brazilian women, supporting immigrant families, and strengthening the community in New England. Through programs focused on education, community engagement, and immigrant rights, Regina has worked tirelessly to create opportunities, provide support, and advocate for immigrant communities.
