I have a million criticisms of Jonathan Greenblatt. His stewardship of the ADL has been a moral disaster. But it's not bigoted for him to want his kids to create Jewish families so long as he doesn't impose his views on anyone else.

“At the end of the day, it really doesn’t quite matter,” he said. “I’m sure he had a flight to catch to Florida”
I don’t even need to be an oracle to know that he’s done.

Russell Vought has found a neat way to make Congress optional: hold approved money until the fiscal year ends, then pretend the calendar did the canceling. In September, OMB sought $810 million in rescissions. The GAO said the administration couldn't use that request to let the funding expire. Somehow the man who lectures everyone about constitutional government keeps misplacing Article I.
The stakes are Head Start, disaster relief, medical research, and the basic promise that laws passed by Congress mean something. Get the records. Put the officials under oath. Close the claimed loopholes. A president doesn't get a line-item veto just because his budget director knows how to wait until midnight.
Russell Vought is the most powerful Trump official most Americans have never heard of. And Democrats are coming for his power.

Kushner's post on European security would be appropriate for the late Cold War period. It looks like he copy-pasted from the Helsinki Accords and the Charta of Paris. But we live in different times, and Kushner clearly has no idea how to address today's challenges.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace.
Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions.
For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace.
Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment.
We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability.
Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments.
We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations.
Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation.
These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace.
This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking.
We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.

Kushner's post is what you get when you put diplomatic negotiations in the hands of businessmen who have little experience with the issues, contempt for experts (and Europeans), potential financial incentives for deals with Russia, and a naive belief in the power of personal relationships with Russian leaders and officials.
The problem with the post is less its description of perfectly reasonable objectives for European security than the apparent unawareness that the agreements, institutions, and mechanisms proposed to achieve them have been in place for decades and that Russia has repeatedly violated them.
So long as Trump's diplomacy in Europe and Ukraine is based on the notion that Europe and Russia are equally responsible for the current state of affairs (or worse that Europe and Ukraine are more to blame than Moscow), it will only reinforce Russia's false hope that it can achieve its strategic and territorial ambitions in Europe.

In July I said that the US and Israel, despite all the rhetoric, a gigantic espionage apparatus and enormous amounts of money, still had no idea where the Iranian nuclear program was hidden, its uranium, equipment, and the personnel involved.
Here is the post I wrote at the time:

Now CENTCOM is offering $20 million and a visa to anyone who provides information about the program.
The most absurd part of all this? These lunatics sent an air convoy of 150 units and more than 200 special forces troops on a failed mission to Isfahan, where they lost planes and helicopters, yet they didn’t even know whether there was nuclear material there. And the reward being offered now confirms it.
I say it confirms it because, according to satellite imagery, nothing has been moved from that site since then.
Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $20 million and possible relocation for information about Iran’s nuclear program, including its facilities, equipment, and associated personnel, such as those in the scientific community, or the movement of any of the above.
