Poolside in Croatia with the memoirs of @MrPaulSimpson1 Beautifully poignant and laced with wonderful humour; his accounts of the late night train attack, and ascending to play the Royal Festival Hall organ, had me in hysterics. 📖 🦢

Relaxing poolside in Croatia reading an interview with Darren Gough in the latest issue of @MattersCounty, had no idea Goughy had once had a trial with @NorwichCityFC 😮 Great work @AnnieChave 💚

Back home in Norwich after a lovely few days visiting Liverpool for the first time, echoes of the @Bunnymen in many of the places we visited. 🐰 ❤️

More echoes of the Bunnymen. Popped in the Globe Pub in the centre of Liverpool for a pint and spotted a photo of Brian McCaffrey on the wall. Had to then make a pilgrimage to Stanley Street to see where Brian’s Diner used to be.

So much musical heritage to see on our first-time visit to Liverpool. Really glad to get the chance to see the Billy Fury statue and @petewylie’s guitar in @MuseumLiverpool 😍

For many years Essex's Robin Hobbs was labelled one of the last exponents of what was seen as the dying art of leg spin. He played the last of his seven Tests in 1971 - it was 21 years before another specialist legspinner played for England. He was the last English legspin bowler to take 1,000 first-class wickets - in all he took 1099 wickets at 27.09 with an economy rate of 2.86 (Patrick Eagar)

Lovely image of Garry Sobers (163*) heading for the pavilion after a mammoth 274 run-partnership with his cousin David Holford (105*) in the second Test match, England v West Indies at Lord’s in 1966. #RIPGarrySobers 🇧🇧 🏏
