This isn’t getting nearly enough attention. Phoenix may have just experienced the most extraordinary heatwave in American history. The city endured 21 consecutive days of record-breaking high temperatures, shattering the previous record of 14 days set in Burlington, Iowa, during the Dust Bowl Era in 1936. Today marked the first day since September 24th that Phoenix didn’t hit a new record high. Truly mind-blowing.

The case, brought by @RiverActionUK, alleges the EA has licensed too many poultry farms in the Wye Valley & not enforced regs to ensure all the poop from all those chickens doesn't end up in the river, driving algal blooms, killing wildlife & pushing salmon closer to extinction.

This is a new one and I could do with a sanity check... Invitation (not personalised, not from anyone I know) to join a consortium to put together a Horizon bid. They want "each partner to contribute to the preparation costs with Euro 3.000". This is... not normal... right?

On Thursday #StormCiaran is forecast to cross southern England. The track is still a bit uncertain but will bring very strong winds to southern areas. At around 953mb this will likely be the lowest or second-lowest sea level pressure observed in this region in the last 200 years.

It's unbelievable that @dougmaw, who rescued the hare from this snare, is being prosecuted in court today for damaging the snare. teapaw.org/dougmaw/status/1683894…
