Way back in 1979, I interviewed legendary photographer Francesco Scavullo. We talked about many things, including being healthy. ••• This is how our interview started: Me: I see you're in excellent shape. Do you feel keeping in top-notch condition affects your work? Scavullo: I think it affects everything. You have to keep the machine in shape. You must have the energy to do the kind of work I do. And being a fashion photographer, energy is the most important thing. ••• Today, 47 years later, I agree that we must have energy to do the things we love to do... which is why exercising daily is a top priority for me. Tonight, my AI creative partner (my CP) and I transformed one of my studio shots into a painterly-like image. Of course, prompts were the key. I took this photograph on South Georgia Island during a @poseidonexp trip. Of course, ChatGPT can be wrong, but it estimates there are between 8,000 to 12,000 penguins in this photograph. I don't call AI, AI. I call it my CP, my creative partner. Here's one example. I uploaded the top left picture, and I asked ChatGPT to give me different poses with different lighting. Kind of cool. What's really cool is that ChatGPT is free... if you don't exceed the free limit. Anyway, AI is definitely affecting the fashion industry in New York City and around the world. It's amazing to me the ideas that it can generate. If I were a fashion, glamour, and beauty photographer, I would definitely pay attention to what's going on in the world of AI.
