“How are we going to recover and come with better performances if we choose to go to all, cause we have to go to all, there’s only four?” Jaydon Hibbert speaks out on the allocation of disciplines for the 2027 Diamond League season, which sees three of the four opportunities in the men’s triple jump take place in a two-week period at the start of the season. It would require Jaydon and others to fly out to Xiamen on 22 May, before flying back over to Europe for Rome and Oslo on 27 May and 3 June, respectively. Following Oslo, there would be a 78-day hiatus before the next Diamond League competition in Brussels, which Hibbert says is “really hard.” 🎤 A similar situation will also occur in the women’s javelin throw, with their fourth event taking place on 3 June in Oslo before a massive window to the Diamond League final in Zurich.
