Project K Ahri - The Most Elusive Riftbound Card of All Time
The rumor is these were used in a presentation during a meeting with Riftbound executives and the CEO of Shining Soul, the printer of the ProK trial decks, promos, and Chinese Riftbound.
For reference, the foil project k Event Card Packs promos were never made in English.
There is more to share, but this is all I can share for now 🫡

Is the Chinese exclusive Jay Chou Master Yi promo full art, or does it have a full art version? Can anyone clarify?

I think it's important to put everything into perspective. It's easy to just look at prices currently in the market and think because they're lower than they were a couple of months ago that Riftbound isn't doing well. It's really not true at all. Riftbound is still just a baby and has had tremendous growth over the last year.
I still believe the game is good, the game is growing, and the player sentiment is majority positive. I think it's completely healthy that we likely peaked for the year at T1/Vendetta release. Not every set has to be ultra hyped and the new peak, as long as the game is steadily growing over time. All good things take time, stay patient, stay disciplined, and you will be rewarded.

This week's mail. I've been loving this Riftbound market. You can get any chase card you want for a very reasonable price. Also picked up this 2020 Legends of Runeterra metal card that was given out to the Riot dev team.

People always say in a bull market that they wish they had more time to accumulate, or they wish they bought their favorite chase card, or they'll downplay others success by saying that anyone would've bought at that price. Right now is your chance to buy almost anything in Riftbound at a sleepily discounted price. You can be the guy that took a chance and bought the pain. Are you cut out for it?

Everyone knows that holding sealed booster displays will be profitable in the long term. Rarely do people actually discuss the most consistent strategy or which sets will truly be long-term winners. People usually assume that whatever is currently hyped will stay hyped forever, but historically that has not been the case. I believe the most consistent strategy for sealed booster boxes over time is to simply buy an equal amount of every single set, regardless of current sentiment, with the only exception being an absurdly good deal that allows you to buy in at a lucrative price.
I’m using examples from Pokémon because it’s the TCG I have the most experience with and it has the longest historical precedent. I believe it takes a minimum of five years for a sealed product to truly mature, so I’m only looking at products that are five years old or older.
Example 1: Sword & Shield Rebel Clash vs. Sword & Shield Vivid Voltage. Almost anyone would tell you that Vivid Voltage was a much better and more hyped set than Rebel Clash. Both released in 2020 (Rebel Clash in May, Vivid Voltage in November). Six years later, most people would have expected Vivid Voltage, with its stronger set list, to be the more expensive box. Yet Rebel Clash is currently about 48% more expensive. This is because Vivid Voltage had a significantly larger print run, and more people chose to hold it because the set was more desirable at the time.
Example 2: Pokémon Base Set Unlimited vs. Skyridge. I could have used Legendary Collection or several other sets, but Skyridge is an extreme example. When it released, most people didn’t care about Skyridge at all. Many criticized the e-Reader design, and overall interest in Pokémon was relatively low during that period. By contrast, Base Set needs no explanation. It was universally loved. You would therefore expect the set that everyone adored, full of nostalgic grail cards, to be more expensive. It is not. You can currently buy roughly five Base Set Unlimited booster boxes for the price of one Skyridge box, despite Base Set being five years older. The key difference is print run and how few people held Skyridge.
These are just two obvious examples, and there are many more across Pokémon and other TCGs. I don't see why it would be any different for Riftbound. I believe it's really hard to predict in real time which booster display will be the best performing in years to come unless you have some sort of insider print run information.

TLDR: Buy an equal amount of each booster box because long term winners can be unpredictable
I don't think I'll ever understand their decision making for this set. How is this an Ultimate rare? (Baron added for comparison)

Great post explaining everything about the new Chinese exclusive Jay Chou Master Yi
🧧 Riftbound × PHANTACI: More Than Just a Jay Chou Connection?
Just some thoughts on the Jay Chou Master Yi card ahead of the Radiance Kit Box preview on the 16th. 👀
Before we get into the card, let’s start with a little background.
🎤 Jay Chou & PHANTACI
For those who aren’t familiar with Jay Chou, he’s one of the biggest names in Chinese-language pop music. Singer, songwriter, actor, and a cultural icon for an entire generation.
If you grew up in China or many other parts of Asia, chances are you’ve heard his music.
In 2006, Jay Chou co-founded PHANTACI with Ric Chiang, a streetwear brand inspired by music, fashion, and pop culture.
Over the years, PHANTACI has built its own identity in the streetwear scene while remaining closely associated with Jay Chou.
And now, that brand has found its way into Riftbound.
🎨 The Card — A Little Jay Chou Touch
The collaboration introduces a China-exclusive Master Yi promotional card as part of the Radiance release.
At first glance, the card might look a little unusual.
Unlike the full-art treatments many collectors expect from special promotional cards, this Master Yi keeps a more traditional layout, with the illustration occupying only the upper portion of the card.
Personally, I would have loved to see the artwork extended across the entire card.
But there are two details I really like.
First, the PHANTACI branding at the bottom.
And second, the Chinese phrase “哎哟不错” (Aiyo, not bad!) on the card.
For anyone unfamiliar with Jay Chou, that’s one of his signature catchphrases.
It’s a small detail, but Chinese fans will recognize it immediately.
Now, here’s something worth clarifying.
This isn’t technically a direct Jay Chou collaboration.
It’s a collaboration with PHANTACI, the streetwear brand he co-founded.
No Jay Chou portrait, no personal autograph, and no indication that he personally designed the card.
But with PHANTACI and “Aiyo, not bad!” appearing together, it’s pretty obvious why collectors are already calling this the Jay Chou Master Yi.
Not quite a Jay Chou card, but close enough to make his fans smile. 😂
🎲 The Chase — Two Layers of Luck
Getting this card isn’t as simple as buying a product or attending an event.
The collaboration runs from October 16, 2026, to June 30, 2027, and the Master Yi card is one of the prizes in a special raffle.
Here’s how it works.
Step 1: Purchase eligible Chinese Radiance products for a chance to receive a PHANTACI raffle ticket.
According to the published product information, the raffle ticket has a stated appearance rate of approximately 1.67%.
Step 2: Use that ticket to enter the raffle.
The chance of winning the Master Yi promotional card is 1.32% per draw.
If we assume the 1.67% figure applies per eligible pack, the combined probability would be:
1.67% × 1.32% ≈ 0.022%
That’s roughly one successful outcome per 4,536 eligible packs on average.
Of course, this is a probability calculation, not a guarantee. Different eligible products may have different distribution mechanisms.
Still, two layers of luck make this a pretty interesting card to chase.
🔢 How Many Could Exist?
Now comes my favorite part: trying to make sense of the numbers.
The official announcement provides the winning probabilities for each prize but doesn’t disclose the total prize inventory.
So I tried working backward.
Several prizes have extremely low winning rates, including:
🎨 Framed Artwork — 0.009%
🧥 Varsity Jacket — 0.011%
👜 Bag — 0.022%
🔑 Keychain — 0.022%
Let’s imagine the prizes listed at 0.022% were allocated 10 pieces each.
That would imply a hypothetical pool of approximately 45,455 draws.
Applying the other published probabilities to that pool gives us some interesting numbers:
🃏 Master Yi Promo Card — ~600 copies
🎴 Card Sleeves — ~923 sets
🖼️ Playmats — ~300
📦 Card Storage Boxes — ~100
🧣 Blankets — ~59
🎨 Framed Artwork — ~4
🧥 Varsity Jackets — ~5
👜 Bags — ~10
🧢 Caps — ~10
👕 Long-sleeve T-shirts — ~8
🔑 Keychains — ~10
Notice anything?
600 cards. 300 playmats. 100 card storage boxes.
Those are surprisingly neat numbers.
Could the actual Master Yi allocation be around 600 copies?
Maybe.
But I want to be very clear: 600 is not a confirmed print run.
It’s simply one possible scenario based on the official probabilities and an assumed prize pool.
A larger pool could produce equally plausible results, and the published percentages may be rounded.
We also don’t know whether the raffle uses a fixed inventory or independent probability-based draws.
So for now, I’d treat 600 as an interesting hypothesis, not an official number or a proven upper limit.
🎁 Richbound — The Unopened Factor
Here’s another detail I find interesting.
Even if a certain number of Master Yi cards are allocated to the raffle, that doesn’t necessarily mean all of them will end up in collectors’ hands.
Some Radiance products will remain sealed in personal collections.
Some raffle tickets might never be discovered.
And even when someone gets a ticket, there’s no guarantee they’ll redeem it before the June 30, 2027 deadline.
So depending on how the prize pool is managed, the number of Master Yi cards actually claimed could be lower than the number originally allocated.
For example, under our hypothetical 600-card model, if only 60% of the potential draws were completed at the published odds, the expected number of Master Yi wins would be around 360.
That doesn’t mean 360 cards will exist. It’s just an illustration of how participation could affect the final number.
Sometimes, the cards that never get claimed are just as interesting as the ones that do. 👀
🤔 So, Is It Really Worth Collecting?
I can already imagine some collectors being skeptical.
It’s not a direct Jay Chou collaboration.
The artwork isn’t full-art.
The card’s final population is unknown.
And while the odds look difficult, we still don’t know how many copies will ultimately enter circulation.
All fair points.
But personally, I think focusing only on those details misses something much more interesting.
🌏 Beyond Riot’s Universe
Think about the collaborations and crossovers we’ve seen around Riftbound so far.
League of Legends, Arcane, Teamfight Tactics, Wild Rift, and VALORANT.
Different games, different audiences, and even different fictional universes.
But they all share one thing: they belong to Riot Games’ own IP ecosystem.
Then there’s T1.
T1 is obviously an independent esports organization, not a Riot-owned brand.
But its identity and global popularity are deeply connected to League of Legends esports.
In other words:
T1 was an external partner, but not an unfamiliar audience.
PHANTACI feels different.
It’s a streetwear brand whose identity comes from music, fashion, and pop culture, rather than Riot’s games or esports competitions.
And that’s why I find this collaboration particularly interesting.
To me, it represents one of Riftbound’s clearest steps toward working with brands outside its established gaming ecosystem.
Potentially, it could introduce Riftbound to people who have never played League of Legends, never opened a TCG booster pack, and might only be interested because of Jay Chou or PHANTACI.
Of course, whether that actually happens remains to be seen.
But the direction itself is worth paying attention to.
Maybe this card won’t become everyone’s favorite Master Yi.
Maybe its design won’t win any awards.
And maybe its final population will turn out to be larger than collectors expect.
But if this marks the beginning of Riftbound expanding into collaborations beyond Riot’s own gaming world, I think it deserves a place in the game’s collecting history.
Sometimes, what makes a card special isn’t just how rare it is.
It’s the moment it represents.

📌 Personal collector opinion only. Not financial or investment advice.
This card is going to be extremely rare and will age very well. First, you have to pull a lottery card with a QR code from a CN Radiance pack, then enter a drawing with that QR code (which has a very low chance of winning). You could then win a lot of other prizes, and the odds of actually winning the Yi is only 0.022%.
