Most people believe hard work alone can make anyone succeed at anything. The smartest know this is false. Cognitive ability is 50-80% heritable by adulthood per twin studies. Talent and starting conditions set hard limits. Effort multiplies existing capacity but cannot create it. Denying biology wastes lives and fuels false equality narratives.
Imagine if Martin Luther, rather than St Peter, is at the pearly gates, haha.
But whether Peter or Luther, he would let Catholics in, since they are justified by grace through faith. 🙏🏻 📙
I asked Grok which five books I should read before I die, based on my posts on X, taking into account the fact that I have ADHD and struggle to read long things. This is the response:
We all knew this - even the feminists who might have denied it. But at least now it has been published.
Research comparing the emotions expressed in feminist, men’s rights, and incel Reddit communities.
A computational analysis classified “hate” as the predominant emotion for approximately 13% of the analyzed r/Feminism users
8–10% in r/MensRights and r/Incels

Earlier this month, Dr Arna Mitchell was named one of eight finalists worldwide for the 2026 John Maddox Prize, which recognises people who stand up for evidence in public debate despite hostility.
In June, her own professional body, the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists, censored her peer-reviewed paper.
Dr Mitchell's paper, "He Wero Ano: Don't Just Tell Me, Show Me How Science and Psychology Are Racist In New Zealand", questioned the evidence behind the WERO report’s claim that psychology in New Zealand is systemically racist. Nobody alleged fraud, plagiarism or error. The Council’s reason was that the paper “could perpetuate harm to Māori.” Dr Mitchell herself is of Māori descent.
On 2 October the College apologised to Māori at Pipitea Marae.
Dr Mitchell is being nominated for an international prize, yet her paper remains censored here in New Zealand.

When my daughter was born she was immediately diagnosed with CAH, a rare hormonal disorder. This prompted us to test our son, who had it too. They both have the virilizing form, which meant their bodies were making too many male hormones.
My son was beginning to show signs of entering puberty at age six. Our only option was puberty blockers, Lupron, big nasty shots, everyday, for nearly 8 years.
Before we began they sat us down for half an hour and explained why, even though this was his best option at a normal life, there were lots of possible side effects and negative outcomes, including kidney failure, physical and neurological developmental problems and a host of others. No one once said it was easy or just a "pause" on puberty. Instead they stressed the seriousness of the treatment. I am happy to say they are both healthy adults today.
So when I started hearing people describe puberty blockers as simple, or just a pause, or easily reversible, with no serious side effects, I knew immediately that was false. How could they get away with saying that, even in the press? Well, when a drug is declared "safe" by the FDA it can be used for any off label purpose. Even though the seriousness of the treatment was known for people with prostate cancer and conditions like my kids had, there simply were no studies at the time for the express purpose of transition. This gave them the fig leaf to say that it was "safe" when every reputable person knew that was false.
So I have known for a long time that the entire trans craze was built on falsehoods.

The best claimed evidence is Samhain's seasonal timing near Oct 31/Nov 1 and medieval Irish tales of supernatural encounters then. Yet scholars like Ronald Hutton find no solid pre-Christian proof it was a feast of the dead or that the Church co-opted it. Halloween derives from All Hallows' Eve, a Christian vigil.

This paper answers why can’t you remember being a baby?
For over a century, science said you can't remember being a baby because your infant brain was just too "immature" to record anything. researchers assumed your hard drive was basically turned off for the first two years of life.
But this wild paper from Yale completely rewrites how we understand human memory..
Researchers literally put awake babies (between 4 and 25 months old) into an fMRI scanner to watch their brains process new visual experiences in real-time.
and what they found is mindblowing..
the infant hippocampus isn't turned off at all. it is actively firing, capturing, and encoding episodic memories. they proved that babies with higher hippocampal activity during a new experience formed a highly stable memory trace.
the babies are recording the data. the memory of your first birthday, your first steps, the exact layout of the room you slept in.. it was all successfully saved to your brain.
so why can't you remember it?
the paper concludes that infantile amnesia isn't an "encoding" problem.. it is a "retrieval" problem.
your brain recorded everything perfectly. but as you grew, your brain underwent massive developmental shifts, like explosive neurogenesis (the rapid birth of new neurons), which completely restructured your neural networks. the pathways to access those early files got buried or locked away.
you didn't fail to make the memories.. you just lost the encryption key to open them.
somewhere deep in your hippocampus, the exact first-person memory of being a 1-year-old might still be sitting there. you just can't access the file anymore..
the human brain is terrifyingly beautiful.
